Morning John and RC
Hope your day is starting well.
My drive cable just broke on the lawnmower
Pushing a 75lb lawnmower with a stuck rear is not happening.
Wel at least the most of that green turf was cut.
Had 8" corn growing up around the feeder. 🤣
Dang I wish my sweet corn grew 😕

Thank you, how are you doing?
Jarred awake as usual by the dogs.
Got them all out and back in just before a storm arrived. A good thing!

Beyond that , doin good. Doin good.
A lot accomplished on the hunting property lately makes what doesn't get done besides , less annoying. L.o.l..

My day is going alright not much going on for me at the moment. My push mowers powered wheels haven't worked in like a year always fun pushing it up the hill I have to mow but I take it as a workout or well torture in the heat here lol.

Glad you're doing well. I've been wanting to get some metal detecting going but haven't had time or anywhere to search. I have an opportunity to go camping on a lake but I'm not fond of that area or type of camping. The area is just bland dry hills no trails or much to explore just isn't for me. My friend keeps trying to talk me into going but I'm just eh about it. The lake is low due to drought but lots of rif raff is there so metal detecting there would just be tons of trash

Even at 31 the hill I dread with that mower especially in the heat. By the time I'm done with it I'm about half dead more or less

Been a long time.
The self propelled function on a mower I ran seemed to need more wheel diameter to be able to engage. I couldn't see any other adjustment.

Mowed the backyard two evenings ago with the rider but still need to use the[pushmower on edges and to go inside the lower kennel.
Shove mower a couple feet . Advance wheelchair and shove the mower forward again. Repeat till in back yard.
Then up through kennel door. Grab fence with one hand and push mower with the other after starting it.
There's some slope to yard.
A hill would mean pulling the push mower with the riding tractor. L.o.l.. And less trimming after.

I also get to get mad at the invasive fire ants that infested everything and they love to be in the lawn. So that makes the task extra rage inducing

Good morning @Evan in CA . I see you swimming around the ship. What treasure hunting is on your to do list.

BTW, mateys, my Sunday funday turned into a Susie homemaker work crap day!
Good morning @WannaDig3687 Thanks for asking, My funday went good with 3 Wheat pennies, it’s getting hard to find any silver around here. I did go to the beach on Saturday and found a very small Star of David 14k gold pendant so the was awesome.

Ha!
Dodged more ants the other day when disturbing a root raked debris pile to get dirt and spread it in a low area. Was using a gloved hand to smooth some spots out and grubbing not decayed enough roots out of it. Ants were not happy. So I worked that spot a little faster than my usual low speed.

Had a long hill in the yard as a kid.
It was a popular winter sledding hill for kids from the surrounding area.
Put someone you didn't like up front on a toboggan load of kids and hit a tree. Ect..

I pulled mower backwards uphill with me facing away from mower. Wasn't really a way to hit it sideways. Though very much of a slope that risks tipping over. (The mower tipping , not me. I don't need a hill for that.)
Eventually the "self propelled" mower arrived. Lasted a couple years before it started slipping. Might as well drag it uphill backwards. L.o.l..
But then , I mowed multiple yards with it. Wearing on it prematurely perhaps.
