Good morning Rook and WD!

"Fire ship" sounds good to me RR can help with that...do we have fire extinguishers?

Seriously...if ARC has no clue with all that....I'm drifting in space! You lead and mark the way, and I'll follow.

You are speaking Greek to me :P

I am not sure if this will have a "positive" or negative effect on the thread... perhaps TH will pipe in on this.

Well, my thinking is it (and all the data and size) is hosted on a different thread. All we would be doing is posting the link. All you do is right click on the post # in the upper right hand corner and copy the link location and then paste it on this thread. Kind of like how we were told videos are hosted on another site.

No fire extinguishers. Fire ships were made to carry all the explosives and combustibles for the sole purpose of saving the main ship.

Edit: It can burn and we will just "build" a new one.

Actually... you are "sorta" right... heh... but not really :P

A "Fire ship"...

Was ANY in a flota that was damaged ..old... etc... one that was "expendable" and used as a last resort... in defense... it was rigged and then set afloat to drift towards enemy.

The "Speaking Greek" was referring to the whole pics elsewhere part. :P

Fire ship
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A fire ship or fireship, used in the days of wooden rowed or sailing ships, was a ship filled with combustibles, or gunpowder deliberately set on fire and steered (or, when possible, allowed to drift) into an enemy fleet, in order to destroy ships, or to create panic and make the enemy break formation.[1] Ships used as fire ships were either warships whose munitions were fully spent in battle, surplus ones which were old and worn out, or inexpensive purpose-built vessels rigged to be set afire, steered toward targets, and abandoned quickly by the crew.

Explosion ships or 'hellburners' were a variation on the fire ship, intended to cause damage by blowing up in proximity to enemy ships.

Fireships were used to great effect by the outgunned English fleet against the Spanish Armada during the Battle of Gravelines,[2] the Dutch Raid on the Medway and by the Greeks in the Greek War of Independence.

Last night I had a dream that I was at Gettysburg. There were relics lying all over the ground. So I came back the next day, disguised as an old man. I had a hollow came with a place to drop bullets in. I also had an old, hollowed out GPS unit, that could hold relics. I would stop at a site, load my dummy props up with relics, dump em' in the car, and repeat as necessary. By the end of the dream, I cleaned Gettysburg out, lol. Why did I wake up?

All this talk about fire ships, who cares what they're for, I'm just here to watch it burn. :p

You don't get out much, do you? :laughing9:

The other day I started a thread in the Everything Else forum called Gifs, Pics, and More. That way we can get it out of our system (because a few of us just have to post gifs and pics) and I went in knowing full well it will be locked at some point. No biggie, I'll start a new one when it does.

.... Old & expendable...is ARC talking about me again??? Hey I resemble those remarks...a lot!

Did we fix it, did we fix it??? :hello2: :occasion14: :notworthy::dontknow:
