Beautiful puppers! I can just imagine all the sass from that bunch
They’re something alright. All 3 together are the best guard dogs they could ask for. One has to give a call when coming to visit so they can put them up. When I come over, Indie is left out to greet me, but with a firm hold on the collar, or else she bolts out the door. She soaks up the petting while Chihuly is fetched. He comes out with a bark or two, then recognizes grandma and a quick pet and get the toy. Then out comes Trixie. 💯 alpha . Barks and growls and gets her name called several times. Then she gets jealous the other two are getting attention from me and she gets in between. Sniffs, barks , growls. Takes about 10 minutes before she accepts I am not scared of her. Lol. She tolerates me playing and petting the other two, but won’t join in. After a while, she’s seen enough and starts nipping them. Then they all get sent outside for a while. The routine starts all over when they come back in. Visits are short.
Indie is special. She’s a rescue. She was found living in some woods in Kentucky. No one knows how long she was on her own. She’s mostly deaf. I did point out that she does hear some noises. She jumps and barks at airplanes, helicopters, and ceiling fans, and sometimes her shadow.

Another example of old linkages.

I see it now. Let’s hope I find the stone wheel! The side of the foundation I found it on, I have previously found jar seal, lids, broken glass, a small whiskey flask, the iron and some decorative iron pieces. Maybe it was part of an ironing board??? Who knows?

Thank you for the ID. 😊

Wind left some goodies exposed found this baby spoon while going out to feed the birds. Just a common Rogers spoon once silver plated possibly 1940-50s. But I'll take the free eye ball find got another neat thing the wind revealed and I'll post that once I can get a picture of it.

Yup looks right. I find looks of little brass rivets everywhere, those round things, and lots of parts to those all over this field. Most of been a ton of horse activity in the past. Well that's nice answers a lot of things I was curious about with just finding one object. Can't believe how many parts of these I find all around here

lol I figured as much... No one ever talks about how sassy these healers are... Geodog is super curios about everything, sometimes I look up from digging and hes walking around with old beer bottle in his mouth lol... Geodog is the same about company growly and cautious and dont point your finger at him he'll get pissed lol

Saddles have a ring.
Cinches and bits too.
Must have been lots of horses ect. over time there if you're finding many.
Yup I've found a lot of those. It's only 20 acres but by maps I've seen the land was farmed since mid 1800s.

JVA5TH... I have issues with my mind keeping me awake... I smoke gonja, tried the prescription path and that made it worse... Not saying this will help you but it helps me..
Yeah I don't trust meds myself those scare. Me they tend to help something but make new worse issues down the line. I've lost faith in pharmaceutical companies don't trust them at all well in regards to mental health. I've had bad experiences with weed but then again I know there are two types so that's probably why. I try to be careful because generalized anxiety disorder is already so unpleasant on it's own.

JVA5th have you done any google earth overlays with your map?
Yeah I've done all that. I think there were a couple small home at one time here that go further back than my maps I've got show. There is an ash layer in two different corners and things like window weights come up and the thin early window glass is all over. I know of a story my grandma told me that when she first bought this property a old woman said she had lived on this land and her home burnt down and she had wanted to see the area. Was long before my time though. I just know the story but back there is a ton of pottery and I've found lots of little things over the time. I think another corner had a house as well as after they plowed I see the ash area and have found lots of bits of tin roofing. I know it was heavily hunted and farmed so always chances of finding stuff people dropped. I've metaled detected 100s of time around the whole field and still find stuff. Can't go in the field till the 23rd though since the sprayed stuff in it.

Sounds interesting, I tend to dig trenches when I find unsuspected areas of interest.. might give that a try, I tend to find lots of glass when I do this, nothing big few feet long and as deep as the finds go..

I should try that. I'll have to hurry before they plant sweet potatoes and I won't have access to the field for awhile
