They’re something alright. All 3 together are the best guard dogs they could ask for. One has to give a call when coming to visit so they can put them up. When I come over, Indie is left out to greet me, but with a firm hold on the collar, or else she bolts out the door. She soaks up the petting while Chihuly is fetched. He comes out with a bark or two, then recognizes grandma and a quick pet and get the toy. Then out comes Trixie. 💯 alpha . Barks and growls and gets her name called several times. Then she gets jealous the other two are getting attention from me and she gets in between. Sniffs, barks , growls. Takes about 10 minutes before she accepts I am not scared of her. Lol. She tolerates me playing and petting the other two, but won’t join in. After a while, she’s seen enough and starts nipping them. Then they all get sent outside for a while. The routine starts all over when they come back in. Visits are short.Beautiful puppers! I can just imagine all the sass from that bunch
Indie is special. She’s a rescue. She was found living in some woods in Kentucky. No one knows how long she was on her own. She’s mostly deaf. I did point out that she does hear some noises. She jumps and barks at airplanes, helicopters, and ceiling fans, and sometimes her shadow.
