Well....seems I couldn't hide from the T.V. producers forever. I guess at the prodding of more than a few people I'll interview for a part in a possible treasure show. Might be a recurring character in some kind of treasure galleon thing....I'm not sure how it's all supposed to pan out but I'll be down in keywest around the 10th-13th to interview with the TV guys.....I ain't holding my breath but the rest of the guys seem to think I could possibly get something of my own going with these guys besides the group project. Apparently I have an interesting life to these people. I would really like them to back me on a good ambergris hunt.....it would be a great adventure and I'm pretty sure I can succeed and bring home a great paycheck in ambergris if I get where I need to go....that would be a win for them and me....it would be good entertainment and I'd make serious cash quick. I'm gonna hit them with a bunch of ideas that I'm working on and see how it goes....but the ambergris.....that's a sure win if you get me to some remote locations I need to get to. Anyway....I'm committed to a meeting and interview with them now !! A couple years ago another group wanted to do a show on shark fishing....the blood and guts and guns and knives torpedoed that show before it got underway. Oh boy...here we go !!

Do it!
Chasin whale turds? Oh yeah! I can see that being a hit.:laughing7:

Seriously though , keep the deck level on YOUR terms....No sense getting filleted in a deal.

(After reading , burn this post and ignore my usual paranoia.)
I'd watch you scopin out flotsam and umpteen other things you turn up that are legit treasure...But would rather not if it costs you ,or your environment , and it's cast , the/ it's/your/ way it is. And that's a tall order when the worlds eyes can see you , and it.

Pale seagull looking tourists with cameras and wearing socks with sandals with visions of duplicating your efforts ,or just seeing the sights can be annoying. Or worse.
Keeping a large scale of any site is only a hope in avoiding stampedes and competition. (Like fishing....And more importantly , fishing for $$$ doing a type of fishing you cherish.)

Hey thanks guys....really don't know what to expect ?? you just never know unless you go for it !!

That's right Bart. And you seem to be fortunate enough to have many options.
Kinda reminds me of a quote I saw somewhere :icon_scratch:

" When you come to a fork in the road, take it. " :laughing7:

Whichever route you take, your journey is far from over.

I like that simon....in the meantime I got some kyak missions for bottles right now...its time to hunt for black glass !! finally cool enough to penetrate the mangrove swamps....no bugs in the dry season. Need a nice gin, or old squat rum !! Might fire up the old go pro for a mission or two.

Life is an adventure, and he who dares wins, or as the old Schlitz commercial, " You only go round once on this life, Go for the gusto".

Ahhhhhhhh, Schlitz brings back memories ? :occasion14:
I still have a set or two of their Schlitz mugs

Hey RR, found this interesting piece of history, ( at least for me ), while researching my family's ancestors.

The Union Brigadier General James Shields was one of my ancestors.

The Battle of Port Republic was fought on June 9, 1862, in Rockingham County, Virginia, as part of Confederate Army Maj. Gen. Thomas J. "Stonewall" campaign through the Shenandoah Valley.

Bringing in Union reinforcements from eastern Virginia, Brig. Gen. James Shields recaptured Front Royal and planned to link up with Frémont in Strasburg. Jackson was now threatened by three small Union armies. Withdrawing up the Valley from Winchester, Jackson was pursued by Frémont and Shields. On June 8, Ewell defeated Frémont in the Battle of Cross Keys and on the following day, crossed the North River to join forces with Jackson to defeat Shields in the Battle of Port Republic, bringing the campaign to a close.

And this is an ancestor who was related to Daniel Boone.

According to her obituary, which is attached to her list of records, it stated "Her life was an eventful one and her narrations of the pioneers days of Kentucky and Missouri were interesting always being filled with details preserved by a wonderful memory. She was a cousin of Daniel Boone, the Kentucky frontiersman and his exploits from personal knowledge were reminiscences upon which she like to dwell at length."

This was also an ancestor. Guess he was trying to encourage the photographer to do a good job :laughing7:

Ever wonder what those " Family Reunions " were like ?
And I even saw a sheet somewhere linking my ancestry to the Hatfields of the infamous Hatfield and McCoy party goers :occasion14:
The Hatfields were Confederates while the McCoy's were Union.
