Been by there many times roger....its right on the Hudson River!!
Yeah, pretty cool place.Just South of FDRs home & library on the Hudson.
Did you know "old timers" of that area speak of a German sub spotted in the Hudson during WW2 ? Just N. of the Poughkeepsie Bridge. Coincidence ? Or a failed attempt to get FDR ?

Growing up listening to the family chat and tell the memories of their early lives.
I kind of wish more was recorded/written down. With each passing generation the history of a certain time and event fades as well.
Here's a snippet of an early podcast/interview about my Aunty. Sadly the talk hasn't been archived digitally properly as it has expired it seems.

"Listen to Ed speak of how his family lived in section houses with no electricity. His mother would throw scalding water to fight the bears off. The hobos in the 1930s, looking for food, were a threat to families living in isolation. Ed tells a story of a hobo running around the outside of the house with a knife and his mother learning to use the rifle after that."

Morning Bart
How the warm Key's pirate doing on this fine winter's day?
Its a cold winter day here in the keys.....50s-60s coldest day so far...got the heat on, and im under a blanket !!

Told the Mrs this would be great toy to buzz those nasty water mosquitoes that plague the waters in the summer.:headbang:
Thinking I would up grade this model to have a duel rotating BB gun barrels sending a streaming out to swat those buggers.:laughing7:

I seem to remember in 2009 on AMI it was Mother's Day when I could go out detecting in my shirt sleeves.
It sucked, the weather sometimes was warmer in Ontario. 😒

Here's a story about a Spanish Galleon that sank.

But that brought on a thought of the tune

Now I always thought of not what the song was written about the other type of "Bennys"

So my take on the meaning was more of the street one.

I can kind of remember a 2 week run in a motel in Daytona or Fort Lauderdale where one could smell the inhalers 2 blocks away.
Buy them/rip them/squash them/soak them in muriatic acid/plate it/freeze it/scrape it/shoot it/bleach it/shoot it/pure speed.......Repeat-repeat-repeat.......

Weird how a tune can mean totally different things for different folks.

Mornin all.

C'mon Rook. You're missing roll call too much.

Mr. W.D. is probably getting a hankering for some decent fried water and crispy eggs by now. That'll help him fight to get back home.

Bart's cold at 50-60. Can't blame the virus I guess. Thin blood , warm clime.
Pants and a shirt might help. If he owns any.

Reading an old detecting book last night.
VHF , TR,VLF, and how to dial them in for varied conditions and targets. :dontknow:.
At least it had a picture of Mel Fisher in it.

Get well scurvy crew below decks.
