We were poor growing up, once grown I still ate them when I was single.
Poor folks meat back in the day....some people called it tube steak...lol. I remember my aunt frying it up and serving with roasted potatoes and onions. It hit the spot.

I still eat them today,we weren,t exactly wealthy either.My Mom would fry an egg,a slice of fried baloney,on toast.If you,re hongry I guarantee it,ll hit the spot.

Well it was an easy fend for yourself night.
Pasta with the chive garlic cheese, though I cracked a single and double yolk egg, then chopped up the roasted garlic, curry, turmeric then I put the cheese on.
The Mrs had her mixed pepper, lentil soup, with and boiled egg for protein.

Now there's a saying you southern folks probably never heard before.
 

Forecast is for 16+"of snow. But a minor shift of the system can be a +- affair.
We kind ♥ a big winter storm. Lots of snow, kind of keeps one grounded.
