There's nothing better than a fresh laid egg.
I've cracked them when only a few minutes old.
We are the country (USA/Canada) that requires stores to refrigerate and the processor's requirement of wash & do a pasteurization.

Laid egg-I can leave on counter for two weeks
Then put it in the fridge for 3 months

Wash that egg-need to refrigerate right away.
I disagree....

Nothing better than a fresh poured Rum.

:P

Since the vaccine outing kind of messed up our schedule had to use the k.i.s.s method for the menu tonight.

Had some linguini with some of our homemade pesto from the freezer.
And a side salad.

After the shot went to our favourite fruit and veggie shop and bought some stuff...a big bag of sweet peppers for $3.00, brussel sprouts, leaf lettuce, cucumber, 4 eggplant, 2 large cabbages for the next batch of sauerkraut, apples, french shallots and some other stuff I can't remember. In any event a grand total of $21 and change.

It's about 1/2 the price of a regular supermarket.

Sounds like a good deal. Our green peppers were on sale 2 for $5.00 and they were sold out. We are having issues with eating here. Hungry but nothing sounds good. I went ahead and got cube steaks out again because they turned out very good the other day. So maybe tomorrow we can eat.

Good night all.

Well I took one for the team this afternoon....Went and got a booster shot of Moderna.

Hopefully now I'm bullet proof until the next variant rears its ugly head.....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:
Well I'm the bearer of bad news Bill.
Our close friends brothers family all have the virus.
Doubled/booster and are sick.
Question: Have you ever applied a bandaid to wet skin?
Right it falls off and leaves you unprotected.

Jim, Well for what it's worth other than errands with the masks, etc we're pretty much down to zero contact other than the two of us.

So vaccinated or not odds are extremely remote of picking it up at least in our case.

WD,

Here's the bag of sweet peppers for $3.00 Canadian about $2.40 or so U.S. I weighed them up and it was 5 lbs. They're a mish mash of colours, sizes, shapes, etc....no problem.

I'll be roasting some up for a casserole tomorrow.

I get out and about again I'm considering a booster.
Been coughing more than usual ( partly from smoking to be sure) but it's productive ,and instead of being cold like the past months I'm warm. l.o.l..
Head and body and sinuses complaining.
Not figuring it's a virus. Could even be all the chili we been eating. (Shhhh.) But staying clear of folks anyways. Nothing new there really.

My interest remains in reduced severity of a case, vs any illusion of not catching a virus.
Hospitals (thanks for them) are bad enough to visit. I've been in hospital beds enough to last me indefinitely... So I'll be vaccinated.

RC,
Yeah totally agree the vaccine is not a magic bullet, hopefully, at the very least it will reduce the severity in case you get the virus.

There were two statues in a park, one of a naked man, and one of a naked woman. They had been facing each other for a hundred years across a pathway, when one day an angel comes down, and with a single gesture brings the two to life.

The angel tells them, "As a reward for being so patient through a hundred blazing summers and dismal winters, you have been given life for thirty minutes to do what you've wished to do the most."
He looks at her, she looks at him, and they go running behind the shrubbery. The angel waits patiently as the bushes rustle and giggling ensues. After fifteen minutes, the two return, out of breath and laughing.
The angel tells them, "Um, you have fifteen minutes left, would you care to do it again?" He asks her "Shall we?" She eagerly replies, "Oh, yes, lets! But lets change positions. This time, I'll hold the pigeon down and you $hit on its head."
Very good one!!!
