Releventchair how about a road trip in 2022?

That would be a firm "NO" from me.
:laughing7:

Now , maybe to visit Bart and lend moral support or something while being a beach bum this winter.

Visiting friends just before Christmas from a warm clime said I must visit.
I warned them (again) I'd be bringing a large suitcase and not leaving...

Put the I before the L in liver and add an S in front , it sounds better.

Yes, my wife and I were both fully vaccinated.

COVID vaccines lose strength against Delta over time - CIDRAP News Dec 15, 2021

Two new studies highlight waning mRNA COVID-19 efficacy against infection against the Delta (B1617.2) variant, with one showing that two doses of the Moderna vaccine were highly effective against all variants but that protection against Delta fell over time since vaccination. The other reveals a precipitous drop in mRNA vaccine effectiveness after the emergence of Delta among an older group of US veterans.

Estimated pre-Delta vaccine effectiveness against SARS-CoV-2 infection with any strain was 94.5% in the first month after the second dose, falling to 87.9% at 3 months. After Delta became dominant, estimated efficacy was 62.0% in the first month, dipping to 57.8% by 3 months, a pattern similar to that before Delta. After 4 months, however, effectiveness fell further, to only 20% by months 5 to 7. The researchers said that while the study population of older male veterans could limit the findings' generalizability, the rapid decline in COVID-19 vaccine efficacy against infection is notable. "This decrease could be attributable to both the passage of time (ie, a waning effect) and the increased transmission of the Delta variant," they wrote.
The defense rests. :)

But...you said it, "Everyone is going to get this. "
So, definition of efficacy and what they're cgecking is in order. The "efficacy" is referring to the defeating *infection*. (The getting of this)

Protecting from getting will go down. BUT.....and this is an important "but"!! It gives the body a weapon to keep the symptoms from becoming life threatening. As you have *already* experienced!

Back in the day.....when people had what you experienced? They would've said, "I have a cold." :dontknow:

BTB ...do people realize what another "corona" virus is called? Its called...."the common cold"!!!

Take two bowls of grandma's homemade chicken soup and call me in the morning. :angel12:

Usually I run in all metal. I find a spot with no signals and then auto ground balance. Then I turn the sensitivity down because I have too much interference with electrical lines. Notch out iron, but it still picks up iron signal. I have run coin before. I may give that another try. Yesterday I did exactly what the guy in the video did. I have a burned down foundation on my property. I detected around the sidewalk and porch. I appreciate the offer to help, but I think I am going to invite cowboye over for some hands on instructions. Mr WD says, “ He is not allowed to detect! He will find that one thing you’ve been hunting for and I will have to listen to you cry about it forever.” Lol
But of cawrse, milady!
If you'd rather not have need of my services. Far be it from me to impose! :angel12:

If my half century of experience doesn't suffice, well, best wishes!

Just a couple parting thoughts though. You didn't say if you're using the iron audio feature. I suggest you try the coin mode. Increase the iron discrimination to full. Then, turn off the iron audio feature. The machine will be much quieter and you might hear higher tones better.

Also, that electrical interference you spoke of, have you tried changing the main frequency of the detector? You have four to choose. Might be that one of those will cut down on that interference.

Best of luck on your vacation and with your cowboy.

Oh Sir WHADI, I didn’t mean to come off so rude. Ah la la. Of course I appreciate your experience and expertise as well as all the others who have been so kind as to offer theirs. I just cannot get my feeble mind to grasp the concept. I have been reading for, what, 4.5 years now, and watching videos as well. I’m sorry.

Kinda Been a sad day today for us. We lost my bride’s brother. He had suffered along time and requested this morning to be taken off of med support. We lost him around 2 PM.
