Been stormy and cloudy here for like a week so eh. Going out to San Francisco tomorrow with my brother and a friend to pick our buddy up from the airport whom just got on military leave. Going to go to alcatraz and afterwards find places to metal detect. Going to be weary of leaving the car anywhere I do not trust San Francisco at all.
Have fun and may your hunting be the best.Sad about San Francisco.

I'll see how it goes, hope things stay better for you. Yeah San Francisco used to be nice but these days I normally avoid it, it's kind of gross and just an area you have to be careful when it comes to crime.

I,m good, just a thing that comes on me sometimes.Been fighting it for 50 years and know what to do to beat it. Be careful, don,t want to see you on the evening news!

I'll be fine being country all of us are always carrying a knife or something. Yeah I understand that part my generalized anxiety disorder is full of ups and downs, lots of battles.

Had a great father son moment last night....the kid has been bit by the fishing bug....all he has wanted for the last week is to catch a tarpon....well I specialize in making fishing dreams come true....its what I do for a living !! Well the boy is still hopping up and down after an epic fight with a 40 pound tarpon....it was touch and go for a minute, and I thought that fish might get the best of the boy.....in the end he got his fish to the dock....next one we will get on film....this one was a nighttime catch....he was released without removing him from the water !! The boy still has a smile and is on cloud nine !! I feel so good as a dad being able to make the simple pleasures possible !!

That's such an amazing accomplishment for your son Bart, he will always remember his first 'big fish' catch. :hello2:🐟 Mine was a 30lb carp when I was 16 from the end of a dock in Wasaga Beach, ON. Did you at least get a pic of him with his first catch?

OK. There seems to be a lot of knowledge here, my last 2 what is its were identified.

The world is a strange place....luck, coincidence, fate, destiny ?????? All I know is this morning on instagram I saw a hunter in Australia find that same pin. His was much worse condition wise....but the blue and gold enamel are undeniable.....he thought it was from the 40s If I remember right....so weird to see another one 15 minutes later on t-net !! Weird !!

Southern folks might ask.
What are those items?
I think it might be one if the coolest items ever made.
Story behind them.
Local artisan/friend always seems to be doing these projects.
(Over achievers):laughing7::hello2:
She wanted to try some spinning/weaving using different products.
She asked for fur/hair from Max.
Well she gifted the Mrs a toque and mitts made from our Max.
The white trim is from their sheep.
Now how cool is that!
The lady said Max will grab them, she was correct on that-sniff/chomp.:laughing7:
I wonder if the Mrs will smell like a wet dog after playing in the snow? 🤔
The 2 🙀 will be wondering WTF why do you smell like him?
That's pretty incredible that a local artisan/friend was able to make these using Max's fur. This is something you'll treasure for years to come. I always liked this pic of Max.

You'll have to let us know if you find anything detecting in SF John. We were there for 10 days in August 2019 and I only wish I'd brought my detector. We spent a day at Bodega Beach and at Santa Cruz Beach, now these looked like great places to detect.
