Good morning me hearties! Big day yesterday. Son came over and got the presents he had stashed away here. Then I walked around the farm and collected greenery to foo foo my daughters gift. I think it turned out well. Pic below. Wrapped presents, stuffed stockings, did laundry, cooked, rearranged furniture downstairs, got turkey and pork roast out to thaw, cleaned floors, took coat and hats off of coat tree and put them in closet. And guess what was lying on the floor, in the corner behind the coat tree? Yep I found my cowgirl hat 😂

I have to shop for 3 last presents, buy food, and clean bathrooms and cook. The big event is happening tonight. Yee haw!

Rusty I will say, “Nice skull mount.” Even if I am not a fan. I know you guys love them. Mr WD got his African mounts last week (almost 3 years after the hunt). I was waiting until he gets them on the wall before I posted pics. He has several skull mounts. I prefer the ones that still look alive. The friend that came over earlier this week has a black kudu. That was my favorite.

Excuse my pole barn the color was fading fast...I'm shooting towards the ocean it's about 1/4 mile away. I jumped in the truck, headed for the beach but it had faded.

Still an incredible sight. Moments like this have become precious to me now. Sadly I can't tolerate other people around me when im enjoying these moments. I just want to here the wind, and enjoy the experience without anyone interrupting my moment.....only need 5 minutes alone. Seems others always have something to say and are always talking through whats supposed to be a zen moment for me. Family has learned to let me be.....the lord is my company and the moment is my church !!

I’m sitting here in my tailgate watching Sadie and listening to the deer hunter’s gun fire down close to the river. I’ve never heard this much before. Sounds like a dove shoot. We’ve got a cold front moving in and the deer must be really moving this morning. It’s 66 now at daylight and dropping into the low 50’s by afternoon. I know that not cold to some of you guys but enough here to get deer moving. Sounds like one Hunter is shooting full auto.
