Nite Cap't, don't let the BBB ya.

Yes-I was a butt hole many times and deserved the dish that I was served.

It took years of convincing the reflection that the words of the man in robes cast down on my hearing lobes one time.
"I stated something in the manner of a excuse for one of my actions that it was my right to drive again"
I was reprimanded with " Look it here-it's a privilege to drive-not a right to drive-do I make myself clear!"

Been there. Didn't like having the privilege revoked either. Eventually figured I'd walked enough prior , that I needed to quite being stupid and walking again as a result of my behavior.

Took years for it to sink in after a friend said he'd never done anything sober , as stupid as when he'd been drinking....
(Too bad I hadn't listened closer earlier.)

Brother was 4 years older, between us we lost 46 friends through auto mishaps.
Of that there's very few numbers that stupidity wasn't the factor.
Too much power, to much drink, never was a good thing.
Mountain roads, rock was a factor.
14 mile stretch was a game of the 7 minute club.
Secret was do it at night and watch the power lines. If they let up there was another auto coming at ya.
Crazy times

Morning OV
Heard good things about the smokers.
Hope it is a keeper, and the brisket will turn out great.
I didn't put any on the cutting sheet as nobody has ever asked for any.:dontknow:

Morning RCT and folks

Morning OV and pepper

GMorn everbody, I like cooking brisket, I like eating it more.... I like to char it all over and than finish it in a pressure cooker. Fastest and most tender way to finish it, IMHO.
A good friend of mines, 58 pounder, has his first state wrestling tourney this weekend. I’m more excited than anybody.
Have a fun weekend!

Morning Fat
Best of luck to your friend in the rassling match.
I had to read your post a couple of times-first I thought your friend had a 58lb brisket-and I thought no wonder he's a friend....:laughing7:
Need more....:coffee2:

Gold Rush season 11 is over.Parker's total for the year...7,500 ounces.:)

Good morning to the whole crew.

Great looking smoker OV.

Jim the brisket is the same cut they use for corned beef also, smoked brisket is more or less pastrami.

Montreal smoked meat is cured in a brine mixture of seasonings and then smoked after the fact.

I'll try to track down some recipes for the different versions.

Morning Bill

The deli's of Montreal-some right famous that's for sure because of the meats.
Though the pastry/deli in Mount Royal was a dangerous stop on the wallet....:tongue3:

I didn't add it to the cutting sheets as I asked a few friends and they said it can be great if done right-even if it was cut the wrong way-leather tough.
So knowing my luck it would be and I'd get flack from the buyer-"simple solution hamburger" as one friend gets all their whole beef done that way-then nobody complains.:laughing7:
