No more....." FIRST....(color of skin).....President, sports star, man/woman on the moon. Etc etc etc la de da de da de da dah....

No more "( color of skin) " History Month.....
:dontknow:

That's really not fair to the Indians.

I should import some underpowered foreign gray market POS cars, make em meet US standards, then market it under the brand name "The Progressive". Make sure they fall to pieces in less than 20,000 miles.

Gee stop talking bad about the BIG 3 car companies. :laughing7:

10 yrs ago a snarky contractor dished the Tundra- "Oh arfing folks buying foreign made trucks, bla,bla bla. I only buy American made products-drove a GM product.
I said well the Tundra is the only completely made in the USA truck sitting along the road. Austin Tx-no foreign parts-I'm most certain it wouldn't be that way if there wasn't the signed agreements to operate in the States to begin with.
2nd most expensive thing a person will buy, yet they have to keep repairing, and buying every 10-15yrs. That or buy a fix and repair daily type of transportation.

I propose a new law. Nobody can refer to another person ......by the color of their skin. In all medias! You can't say ******ant (r*e*t*a*r*d*a*n*t)...try it! Do the same for color of skin. :dontknow:

What is the first thing when you do see colour?

Some see red it seems by the postings up-oh that's pretty rich when there's only the same colour running through the veins.

99% of every human being has in fact the same DNA-the 1% makes us all equal in diversity.

Personally I see a person, then of what sex, then if of colour from what ancestry.

Interesting fact of spending 25 yrs of our life in the GTA.

Over 250 ethnicities and 170 languages are represented in the Toronto Region, and roughly half the population identifies as a visible minority.

Now the masala of diversity I like to think, and it only enriched my life in so many ways. I will say moving to the hillbilly/back water hamlet (I didn't tag it ) that we reside in now it's a culture shock.
So many worldly points of view, and if one took the radius of 300 miles out of the travel experience it would probably take out 95% of the population. Some have never even been out of the province yet they know so much about the diversity of the nation. (to be taken with a spoonful of salt)

Here's the candied orange peel I made yesterday.

Ended up with 2- 8 oz jars we'll be giving the other one to some friends. I'll probably do some lemon peel next.

Now what are you going to do with the product Bill? On toast, a rub, drink, treat?

Jim,

Probably just as snack or the mrs might cut them up and add to home made muffins.

If you buy the dried version at super markets it costs a fortune and is loaded with preservatives, dyes, etc...

Jim,

Quite similar situation living in metro Montreal. Lots of our shopping is done at ethnic markets for the variety and generally the prices are cheaper they tend to be small mom and pop operations without all the supermarket overheads.

Sounds like a plan !Maybe throw in a little"go fund me" while your at it :treasurechest:
.... go fund doesn’t sound bad. That glueing my ass to the hummer seat to get paid is gong to be a problem. 10? Plus years ago several of my friends had humvees. There are most uncomfortable, small seats right up against door. A Prius has more room, I have one..

Edits. That orange peal is great with green head ducks.

Electric cars. It still cost 50 to fill up. Coal fire electric or gas..

Had a person over the day picking up eggs, bought a new Subaru Forrester, why not electric? Can't get past the thought of 12 yrs olds digging dirt in the Lithium mines.
Huge footprint for those batteries-he's going to wait till the iron technology comes in, I have to look that one up.

Agree with it all. Doesn't seem to be rocket science. Honestly, I've always tried to see people, not colors. I usually don't even notice, until somebody brings it up.

If we want "racism" to end, we need to start acting like it. (BTB ....why do people call it racism? A person's "race" has very little to do with the pigments in their blessed skin!!) :dontknow:

Oh I bet it would work well in the Xmas cake as well. Hard to get good dried fruits.
We buy currents and mango by the case lot, Silverleaf Figs, Medjool dates, some dried prunes.
Problem with even a lot of organics folks want sweet, so the fruit is infused with apple/cane syrup.

I'll dry over own blueberries once they start producing, getting some stainless mesh formed up into trays for drying things.
Now my mother made fruit leather when we grew up, put pans on the hot metal roof of the house and covered them with cloth, and that was a treat.
Homemade raisons were a gift at Xmas time-keep the ugly sweater give us the preserves.

I found it so interesting to be in business for so many years and meeting so many great folks that were so nice.
One friend used to stop in on a Friday on the way to prayer.
Learnt to put the Cluster dog away so they didn't touch.
Now if a person said put your dog away, I don't like him, I'd be insulted and ban the silly ass from the yard-nobody told Scrapper to put his dog away.(Banned a few that didn't like the cluster)
But I asked my friend-why-he said in a calm understanding way-you see Jim if the dog touches me-I'll have to go home and cleanse my body again before I can go and to pray.
Ok I'll put the big Cluster up in the office-Thursday no problem-Friday was special.
Many don't understand-or are just scared to know. We are so young on this continent compared to the world in general.

Score!! Goodwill, $39.00. White's Prizm IV. I tested it in the store, seemed to work, no sound though. Looked it up for reviews, took it home. It works with headphone and the speaker can be replaced. Compared to my Bounty Hunter gold digger....oh my! Gold digger.... sure if it's golf ball sized..

2.5 pounds and seems to be accurate with the depth and ID. Has a built in pin pointer too!! Sure it's not a 1000 dollar beach, small nugget detector but a definite upgrade from the Gold Digger.

OV, is that coast guard boat? Training to wreck and drown? I never hear about that, everything happens.
Is that the same coast line Jedi as that rainbow pic? If get chance, what does it look like when red sky and calm waters.
I have been up the coast there a couple of times and it’s all great scenery.
