THE Random Chat Thread - AKA "The RCT" - No shirt or shoes required - Open 24 / 7

On the menu tonight we'll be having some mushroom and sauerkraut pirogies. Cheating and using some frozen one will be served with some sauteed onions and sour cream.

With a side salad for veggies.

Here's a recipe is someone wants to try it from scratch.

I find it amusing that people think that this site is not social media.....everything is shared with Google and Facebook immediately. So funny that many don't know this or didn't read the terms of agreement when they signed up. Foundry forum Inc owns all the content and can do whatever they like with anything on this site including the RCT I would imagine. I knew this from day one and tailored my posts as such that it helps me in a Google search. This site is my diary of finds....if I've forgotten when and where ive found something I can look it up here on t-net like my own personal diary !! Others joined for other reasons. I joined to try and get a paying job on a treasure salvage boat....it worked for me !! If you guys were wondering.....yes blak bart is an online persona that I have cultivated....of course it is not 100% who i am.....even though I'm pretty true to myself and who I am. Many treasures and projects I just don't talk about here.....some treasures and adventures are kept secret....many times I go silent for days....to the dismay of our captain ARC....he actually notices when I get quiet.....im quiet for the sake of my partners and a vow of secrecy most times. Never once have i ever posted anything thats old spanish and gold.....just a general rule for me.....spanish gold makes people crazy....and they do things that they normally wouldn't do....like rob cheat and steal. Silver coins only generate a modest reaction from the state and other entities that would otherwise take notice of the gold. Its why my banners are meaningful to me, and why I would like my 3rd banner to be credited to me. It is a legacy that other treasure hunting salvage teams can see on a Google search. I purposefully made all the banner titles with similar key words for a Google search.....it was my plan to do it this way so that certain people in the treasure industry would take note of what I was doing. And what I was doing is letting the people know that I'm the first in many years to legally recover treasure from the 1733 fleet. It worked for me and I now work with 3 groups with state lease boxes here in my own territory. I read and understood that I was giving the rights to my photos and posts to forum foundry inc. They intern give it to Facebook and Google. Such is life.....I still have the right to pull the plug whenever I like.....and I'm definitely not paying a 25$ ransom for a charter membership so that I can have my freedom of speech restored. If I want to talk politics (WHICH I DONT) or sell treasure and wood working art i go to instagram.....where there is real money making opportunities and bustling business. I tell everyone politics is personal and private to me and I prefer to keep it to myself !!

What's a Hardee?

Yesterday I got Hardees for MsBeeps but she is nowhere to be found. I think she fell overboard again.

If this continues maybe we should chip in and get her a Personal Locator Beacon.

Ya , ya.
To heck with explaining conflict and competition in hunting requiring being taciturn and confidential (inescapable as it is) , it's your climate that is a treasure this time of year.
I mean hey , a guy wandering about to and fro where you are does not have to worry about freezing to death if he gets too distracted. l.o.l..
I had to deice my beard after shoveling a while yesterday just from breathing. No , no mask worn with no one around.
Shovel handle had snow melt from my hand , and when I grabbed the aluminum rail to pull myself along , my hand tried to stick. Yes , like the tongue on the flagpole funny.
I pulled it off real quick. Just in case it had ideas of a greater attachment. (You might think a guy would wear gloves..)

Somewhere fish are cruising above some old relics...Been a long trend.

Age/time frame of activities and losses there don't hurt of course.

Bart,

Yep the google bots of the world are constantly monitoring the various forums and making linkages so people can find pretty much anything on the net.

Kind of like as gigantic bulletin at your local shopping mall except electronic. Big brother is watching everywhere on the net so the onus is on everyone to keep things somewhat arms length insofar as what's posted.

My internet dropped out earlier.
As usual when that happens and I check my hook up I see "F.B.I. van" as a network.
My guess it's the I.T. guy on the next road with a fun network name. Somehow stepping on my signal ,or sucking up too much bandwidth or something.
(Yep , he's the guy with the whining dog outside.)

Would this put us in the control freak category? Poor MsBeeps going to chipped like me dog and cats.....:laughing7:

New invention, why didn't I think of this one...

Here's a way of absolutely preventing your "crack" from being exposed to the population!

Note the triple set of suspenders...

While painting in the garage I was listening to the radio and they had a snippet on Microsoft designing AT that would harvest all our lingo, and patterns and then it can reproduce anything-just another you-live or dead.
Now the ???????????????????????????????? start flying up and a red flag of caution.
The first thing I would do is throw that Microsoft unit in the recycle bin.:headbang:

That's some more scary/weird bull poop

One with it
And the other that has to look at it all day..
Somebody's going to have a good :laughing7:

Jim,

The artificial intelligent programming is getting kind of scary. A few years ago I had to reset my password for my internet banking.

I called the customer service 800 number and the asked the various security questions when it was done, I asked if this was a common problem.

The lady advised yes and going forward my voice pattern had been recorded so that would be part of the verifying in the future....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

What the heck is a floppy disc Whadi... is that one sitting next to your 8-track player on the table? :tongue3:

The only thing worse is an *OLD* floppy disc! :tongue3:

Milady.......

The only way around all this BS ....Is we all go back to 1940s(pre computers)...I'm game, anyone else ?

Roger/Duckshot,

Short of becoming a hermit or joining an off grid hippy commune we're all pretty much between a rock and hard place.

Like it or hate it the internet of things is pretty much where we're at now and in the foreseeable future.

Heck even people showing us how to use primitive skills are internet connected and probably making more than us folks.....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

Hey,when I was a kid there were NO computers. You wanted to make a call (on the road) find a phone booth, and a Dime.TVs were black & white (w/3 channels) and gas was .25 a gal.....And today's world is "progress" ?

Roger,

That steak looks appetizing!

Yep simpler times we grew up pretty much the same time frame. I remember being sent to the store to get the cheap chicken parts.

They'd sell necks, livers and giblets for like 15 cents per lbs chop up a bunch of veggies and you'd feed a family of 8 for about $1.00.

Heck today it's hard find a coffee for that price....lol...we're starting to sound like dinosaurs....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:
