I really enjoyed seeing the results these folks are able to achieve with just a solution of alcohol and distilled water applied to the temple walls with Q-tips and paper.
Now this looks really yummy Roger, I love it!pepperj

Hey buddy, if you ever happen to get up to Southern Ontario, let me know and I’ll get you onto a few of my permissions.Naaaah! You'll have it with you but, I know! You will be waaaay too busy to use it! You will definitely need a sidekick to explore for you!!
My first thought was… “why would anyone who wanted to move to Florida not want to live on the ocean?”Don't worry about being close to the ocean... That time will come when a hurricane is approaching "the decision you made" AKA - your house... heh...
Which at that time you will remember that you are either CLOSE to the ocean... OR... 2 miles away from the ocean.
Oh and one more thing concerning this...
That is... insurance... unless you have a budget that affords serious hurricane insurance... And especially in Florida... its all about "location location location"... even for hurricanes and insurance carriers.
Just food for thought my friend.
I noticed a number of the houses that had pools also had shelters covering the pools.
Sorry to hear about your frustrations to get your Dad the Covid vaccination. Here in Canada, they’ve vaccinated all the front-line workers and have given the first round of shots to all of the people 85+ in seniors homes.Good evening, pirates! Life’s been keeping me busy. Struggling trying to get my dad the vaccine. Nearly 100,000 people in his age group in his county and only 1600 shots. I did manage to get him on a wait list. Just like the military, hurry up and wait.
Funny story that those who have kids/grandkids: my son and his lady are trying to potty train the 3 year old daughter. They put her in underwear and told her that she needs to pee on the potty since she doesn’t have a diaper on. A few minutes go by and my son here’s water running in the bathroom . He goes to check and find her standing on the toilet on the lid washing her hands. He starts praising her for peeing on the potty when he discovers that she actually peed while standing on the lid. LOL all over the potty.
And in other news: I have cataracts in early stages on my eyes. Explains a lot. Getting old stinks!
Sounds like your Dad has a very positive attitude about all this, I think about this whenever I’m talking to my 86-year-old mother. We were talking about my dad and how he’s held up going through his grieving process during all of this isolation and unrest.
I said, “He’s doing pretty good for someone who will be turning 90 in May.”
Mr WD said, “ Yea, he’s really been in pretty good health most of his life.”
I said,” That’s because he never went to the doctors and had all the crap pushed on him.”
IDK I think a lot of that is a bunch of pill pushing and testing and procedures for the money. A person has to do what they feel is right for themselves.
Thanks for thinking about me WD.Good morning, Antiquarian. I am glad to hear that the job seems to be working out.
Hi Jim, I’ve been thinking about it, but that’s as far as I’ve gotten. I took a drive past a few of the fields I’ve detected this year, but the snow is still 2 — 3” deep in most areas.Morning Dave
Did you get out digging this week-or did you do the couch lizard instead?

TORONTO — “The number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in Canada has surpassed one per cent of the country's total population. There had been 387,899 vaccinations given in Canada as of end-of-day Tuesday, according to data compiled by CTV News. That’s equivalent to 1.021 per cent of the population. That does not mean more than one per cent of Canadians have been vaccinated, as some of those 387,899 vaccinations have been recipients' second doses. The two vaccines approved for use in Canada both involve two shots, given weeks apart.”

I was hoping with the milder daytime temps it may have melted, the problem is we haven’t seen the sun for a few days here.
Thanks for thinking about me WD.
You kill me buddy! You must be some special WIF-I'z never get an invite
At this rates of vaccinations-well do the math it's going to be winter again before the general public gets in line.
This is a great time to detect, you get to see where you've walked. Just a little secret (everyone look away now-this is just for dave's eyes) You can detect through 2-3" of snow, and on cloudy days
No need to worry about that WD.Geesh, antiquarian, watch what you say! As soon as the covid restrictions are lifted, your wife will be across the boarder on the hunt to kick my arse! LOL!
You kill me buddy!
But if I go out detecting... who's going to do the laundry, grocery shopping, cooking and clean the house?
