Good morning ARC and Jim.

How was your weekend Jim... temps are going to hovering around the freezing point all week, I'm thinking about possibly detecting.

Just waiting impatiently for an offer from Somero right now. :laughing7:

Jim,

I tend to agree with you that people who have less hobbies and interests are probably suffering more from the isolation related to the virus.

I have the detecting forums both as a participant and admin duties on my plate. Toss in my fermentation and cooking infatuation.

Fairly active in the stock market, me and the missus buy and sell postage stamps to keep busy during the winter and make a bit of extra expense money.

I do my morning walks, the missus does preserves, paints and teaches(prior to Covid it's been on hold for now).

Household chores, the cats, etc....plenty of stuff to keep both of us occupied. Like you the closeness of family and friends does leave something missing in the equation unfortunately.
Ditto bill
Living out helps. There are not many folks around us which is a good thing. Having a purdy large shop helps for doing projects and caring for the equipment. I hate not going to funerals for people that I have known over the years but now with the web we send condolences.
I don't really do funerals-been to 7 in my entire life. 4 family-2 close friends-1 employee (missed one family member being out of the country). Each one the toll on the soul was hard-though not saying the good-byes to one is just as hard.
I can't imagine any close family loosing a member and having the stress of not being able to share with other loved ones the good-byes.

Yes keeping busy with self interest things in life is a great way of spending the days, and being in the rural really is even better.
....good morning, I live on Indian time, the sun comes up, the sun goes down, I sleep when tired and eat all the time when not sleeping.... I haven’t changed my routine because of COVID. I just got my first mask for Xmas and haven’t tried it yet.
It’s rural here, town is actually classified as a village. I’ve never had a flu shot, I never caught chicken pox but that’s a family thing from my moms side, low grade corn liquor? IDK?
Oh-Ya-Ta-Hay, Lakota battle cry, Today is a good day to die. If today I will meet at full speed, I’m am not afraid.
Big talker I am? It is how I live. Gotta go spread a little salt on church steps this morn. Besides making dinner rolls on funeral committee that’s about all I do as far as organized religion but I don’t doubt it....
This is a problem I have right now as well guys, there are too many hours in the day to fill. :tongue3:

Tonight on the menu. Chicken breast stuffed with spinach and ricotta cheese and some roasted peppers with bread cubes, garlic and black olives and various seasonings.

We might not be rich but we eat pretty good....
Bill, you always eat the yummiest sounding meals.
Last night I made a bacon-wrapped turkey breast with basil, oven-roasted potatoes, baby carrots and home-made gravy.
I love turkey, even though my daughter doesn’t really like the taste, but that’s just too bad for her.

I tell her, “that she’s always welcome to come grocery shopping with me and start doing the cooking” …that usually shuts the whining off darn quick. :laughing7:

With all the interior painting jobs completed, you have an issue with filling up the day? Must be nice, to become a couch lizard. :laughing7:

Jim, my plan for the future is to make enough money with the new job that I can hire a crew of painters to paint our house.
I would also like to get a maid service to clean and have a daughter who will put her laundry away without complaining... but then I wake up from my nap and realize it was all just a bad dream. :laughing9:

Bart
