Best of luck at the site today Dave-it's -1C right now here.

Insulated gloves are a warm addition for mornings like this-not quite wand warmer stage. (Oh you loved those hand warmers on that cold snowy morning a few years ago) :headbang:
I couldn't believe you admitted that those dime store thin cotton dipped gloves weren't doing the job.:laughing7:

Oh I figure spending a couple of bucks on keeping the hands warm while out playing in the dirt is well worth it. Being comfortable detecting makes for a great day been out in blizzards more than once.
It even happened in England once, a bloody snow storm lasted all day.
Still have pics and video of the wind/snow covered fields.

Morning Dave, pepper, Bill and WD

Morning Bill, Rook

Good morning Bart

Sounds like you had a lot of fun yesterday WD. :laughing7:
Were you successful in retrieving your hammer from the belly of the boat?

Hammer? Lands no! That would’ve been a big object down through a big hole. This was a 3” steel skinny straw shaped object down through a 1-1/2” hole. Yes he fished it out to the hole and I was able to grasp it with my fingers and pull it out.

Good morning Bart how's the pallet house coming along?

Still building the floors....was taking apart pallets to build my floor, then I found the most incredible pallet ever built.....its already a nice floor section and I'm building everything around this one pallet. Never seen anything like it.....this pallet was built like a battle ship !!

The best pallets I've found are the ones they ship bags of concrete on. You could truly build a house from these pallets.

I need to by boards to replace a gate.
A dozen or more years ago the one being replaced I'd built out of pine from an industrial packing crate.
Pretty clear material, Usually it's lower grade stuff.
With lumber costs today , I should have salvaged more!

RC,

There are several grades of pallets...the lowest grade ones are generally made from softwood and are called skids. They're made for one time use only. The reusable ones are made from hardwood of a higher grade.
