Well I nearly got a heart attack. There was a Wilhelm Sasse found with a similar birth and death date, and he was a part of the 5/Pz.Gren. 613 Rgt. aka the famed Wiking Division, Waffen SS. This Wilhelms death wasn't at Konigsberg though.

Would familysearch.org help you at all with what you are trying to find?

We got Grandma’s Frigate pulled out of the pond, power washed, dried and put in the barn.

RC,

Both cats and dogs eat grass to aid digestion. They are seeking the folic acid content.

In and out. Crated at night indoors.
Out in fenced area.
Ya, they'll eat poop if given a chance.
Grass sure makes them upchuck.
Seems to be an irritant.
Why they eat it , I don't know.

"Baby Boy"/the bulldog knocked my laptop onto the floor yesterday. The hinge was already broke and now the screen is all lines.
This new laptop 9a gift from daughter that has been on reserve) is taking quite some getting used to.

Having something a bit different for protein tonight it's halloumi cheese. Just put a bit of olive oil and dried thyme on it and saute or grill it.

We'll use up our leftover veggies from last night as side dishes.

I haven't tried it yet, but someone from a different forum is helping out. There were 24 results for soldiers named Wilhelm Sasse, and I guarantee you, only a couple, if that, were at Konigsberg. Right now, it appears that my guy came from 5th Kompanie, 613th Grenadier Regiment 203rd Infantry Division.

Rusty,

Are you practicing for when you have a girlfriend in your life?....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

Nothing much, other than a full on search for the guy whose helmet I have now. There are documents with his info right in front of me right now, but in order to access them, I have to pay $39.99 a month to get them. No way. That's my car insurance rates!

Instead, I've resorted to begging, anybody who already has this subscription, to kindly see if they can get any info on this fellow.

Got the 200 foot water line-found out the marking on the pipe indicated 193 ft so the hardware store shorted me 7ft. They'll get an earful monday morning when I tell them they better reflect the refund.

Was telling buddy about this big tree and we walked down to the site and it turns out to be a Butternut tree-8 ft in circumference so there's going to be a task to get it out of the area-then milled into lumber.
The tree is a protected species and this is a great loss to the species but things happen.
I'll photo document the tree, call the ministry if they want document it, and give me a release.

OMG am I having a bad day! I’m helping Mr WD replace snaps on carpet in boat. I have to hammer the curling tool. I have hit my thumb number of times. The very last snap, I picked up the tool and dropped it. It fell in the hole for the extra seat. Any way it’s down somewhere inside the belly of the boat and it has to come out. Mr WD is now out searching hardware store for a strong magnet on a bending rod and it has to be small. He kept his temper in check. Thankfully. It’s going to take some patience and a whole lot of luck.

Sounds like you had a lot of fun yesterday WD. :laughing7:
Were you successful in retrieving your hammer from the belly of the boat?

Morning Jim.

Came downstairs at 4:30am to find my wife passed out on the couch after binge-watching her latest favourite Netflix show. :laughing7:

How's Max doing now, did you all have a peaceful night?

Oh that's a bad sign that you didn't even notice that she wasn't gone until you came downstairs.:laughing7:

Max was his normal yesterday - Thanks for asking.

"A bad sign", what are you talking about buddy, I had the best sleep I've had in weeks last night! :laughing9:

Glad to hear that Max is feeling better... I thought it was interesting that dogs sometimes ingest deer droppings.
Maybe that's what Max did the other day? :icon_scratch:

Can a dog get sick from eating poop?
"Coprophagia is usually harmless, but can sometimes spread an infectious disease or parasite to your dog. It can also cause gastroenteritis that results in vomiting and diarrhea. There are many theories about why dogs engage in this behavior, but most fall into two categories–behavioral or medical."

Well I'm off to hit the same field I was at on Friday.
It's a little chilly out there this morning, hopefully I'll be kept warm with all of the finds I'll be making. :laughing7:

Have a peaceful Sunday everyone!

Mornin all.
Another rough night of spasms...

P.J. , if it's a regular event with Max and diet change/different food eased into diet does not help , maybe a probiotic?
One of our dogs you don't want to feed a teaspoon too much or he gets sick.
He gets a commercial probiotic , but we have used a tablespoon of yogurt for squirmy tummies too.

When real sick /upchucking ,they get a meal skipped.
Not upchucking acid type , but undigested food type.

RC
Are your pups inside and outside dogs? Just wandering because my 11 month old goes out under supervision but still manages to eat grass and deer poop. That will make Sadie upchuck her first meal of the day. I ordered a shock collar and when she gets near the deer poop I give her a small dose of shock. That has helped with her problem.ive talked to the vet about this and she just said Sadie is just being a pup. They all do it

We have Max on the raw food diet as he has immunity issues. Did the change over when he was 6 months old. Now I'm just going to say before the change one could smell the duty 300 ft away! (He still bolts out of the gate when finishing a duty - 6yrs old)
So the raw is all human grade food bore, beef/fish, beef-he gets fed morning and night.
As a supplement he gets a salt spoon 3x a day of Bovine colostrum 95% of all his issues have disappeared.
He generally has a see food diet of veggies if it's green-well it's his to eat.
So the veggie orders can't be placed on the floor- or it's a drive through for Max. More than once he'll just start munching away quite content on anything.
Now kale is a step the ladder for him-he'll ID which container box/bag has kale-simply loves the green stuff.

On the subject of other animal droppings "rabbit and then deer."
So we keep a watchful eye on his activities when out for a forest walk. Kibble & Bits :laughing7:
Last winter he grabbed one the same size as the ball that Babe Ruth use to hit out of the park-Max thought he had hit a home run also! He grabbed this big bucks ball and started gagging it down as he ran through the bush. By the time I caught up he was gagging alright-like a sea gull trying to down a 5 pound carp. "Gag you silly ....!" I told him.
He doesn't go after any other species which is good because of diseases like Parvo eat...

Dogs are a mans best friend though.
