As the contractor says. A good painter can make a bad carpenter look good, and a bad painter can make a great carpenter look bad.
Sand, fill, prep, sand, prime.
Sand, fill, prep, paint.
Sand, fill, prep, paint.
The time to do all that properly one never wants to do it again.
Don't feel bad I only have another 6 rooms to paint, plus the trim painting (baseboards, 15 windows and door casings, 10 doors 9-12 pieces of wood/trim were used for each window and door).
I can see where this winter is going to be spent doing.

Jim, the difference between you and me is... you thrive on this type of hard labour, whereas I hide from it. :laughing7:

Thanks very much Bill.
I have a good feeling about this opportunity, as the company's expanding and just opened a new location in Napanee, ON.
They now have 4 locations in Ontario.

Good morning ARC and Bart!

Good morning, crew mateys.

Off to the dentist. Yippee skippy. Have a Blessed day everyone.

Morning WD
That's not the thing I never enjoyed in life, the freezing never had any effect on me. My ears and hair would be frozen-the mouth-nada!
14 needles on an extraction once-the dentist had to have me sedated in the hospital to get it done.
Nope you can have it-best of luck.

Good morning WD.

I was rummaging through my desk drawer yesterday and came across this small girls' silver ring. Turns out one of our neighbour's little girls has been quarantined at home for 2 weeks from school as a precautionary measure due to a classmate testing positive.

It's not much but I passed it along to her to cheer her up.

I have found the same spikes like the one with the coin you posted.....lots of them.....all pre 1770.....so ?? I dont know where he is going with that statement of 99.9%.... muntz metal i agree will never be older than its general use time frame. I hate arguing so im doing the arm chair gentleman thing.......after all he's no better than us in the water......were all wreck divers.

to be clear ARC....Him and a couple others are the reason I post my shipwreck adventures over here ARC....the arrogance of some over there is astonishing......hard to even have a nice debate about spikes and fasteners without someone trying to make you look silly....and thats what he wants to do. I think what im trying to say is I can't really be myself on that forum for fear of being attacked. And on top of that im starting to realize that I get in the water on colonial era spanish shipwrecks more than many of those on that forum combined. Its hard to swallow a pill forced on me by people I know have not been down on these sites anywhere near the time I have. Hell some over there on that forum havnt been in or around the sea in 30 years. The few that do really get down and dirty rarely if ever comment !!

Unfortunately...I know exactly what you mean!

So....I'm tempted to use this method....

Morning RC.

Heh I see WIF snuck in on me... which is easy to do :P

So... morning as well WIF.

You're a very generous man Bill, don't let anyone tell you different. :occasion14:

Dave,

Thanks! Considering there's 4 or 5 fairly young families in our small area with this whole covid situation I try to do my bit to lighten their load.

The parents all have professional demanding jobs and young kids to raise in these crazy virus times.
