Good morning rook, looks like we're in for some serious heat here in Southern Ontario next week.
But I'm sure it's going to be even hotter where you live. :laughing7:

It's because of all that global warming. You know, the one that they're trying to shut down all those greenhouse gas causing factories? Which, by the way, has pretty much happened via this pandemic already.

So, about half a year of that fix and just look at all that cooling off! Take *THAT* ...you polar ice!!

We know sooooooo much! sigh!

That's an interesting theory my friend. :icon_scratch:
But I think the real reason there's been a heat wave since the beginning of June here in Canada, is primarily due to the amount of methane gas being released by everyone who's been sitting at home in self-isolation.

Don't worry though, I have a solution to the methane gas problem... 'A Blue Angel' :laughing7:

I worked on increasing the height of the enclosure yesterday, about half way done.
I must admit I never seen them stick so close to me before for such a long period of time.
I was using quick ties to secure the chicken wire-they thought it was great fun taking pecks at my fingers, wedding ring, cuff buttons, pests they were. :laughing7:
Nothing in the live trap, will check it again this morning.
We are on point guard, so if it tries again, and I'm there-it'll be the last time.

Mornin all!
Tractor seat time yesterday , smoothing a future seed bed, Brush hogging, spreading lime. Now I'm stuck in low gear myself...

P.J.:
A whole uncooked egg worked well for live trap bait on coon at a friends place.
Locate the egg so it can't be fondled from outside the trap is all.

Well we did a run to our favourite ethnic fruit and veggie store about half price compared to the big chain stores. Picked up a big bag of bell peppers probably about 5 lbs for $4.00 Canadian which is about $3.00 U.S. among other items.

I'll be roasting some of them up and putting the strips in a marinade later. Also peeled 2 large eggplants and sliced them about 1/4" thick and gave them a good shot of salt and then weighted them down. Tomorrow I'll rinse off the salt cut in strip and then boil in a mixture of red wine vinegar + water. Then it gets drained and placed in jars with garlic, fennel seeds, herbs probably some hot pepper flakes and canola oil for future use. Since Bart loves eggplant so much pictures to follow....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

I also bought a large package of jalapeno pepper and sliced most of them up and placed in a quart jar with some garlic and added 4% kosher salt and water brine for fermenting.

Went looking for cellar holes. Found a plantation instead.
I was in the bush and kept getting whiffs.
Ah the old dog still can pick it up in the hot afternoon breezes.

Allowed 4 legally
So this is a tad over the limit.

Somebody's treasure for sure. No signs of humans around recently?

Lots of little deer trails, with human activity.
