Good evening/morning mates,
Sorry for being awol, although I have looked on a bit here and there.
My mother in law past away in May. She had congestive heart failure that had been coming on for a few months.
This came to a head right as my wife’s parents were in middle of moving, and getting their house on the market.
Her dad is taking it hard, but hanging in there. They were married over 64 years.
My wife has always been really close with her parents, and she misses her mom.
For those that would, any prayers sent their way would be welcome.

Rusty,
I Hope you are doing better. Breathing issues get kind of scary. I am just now getting to where I am able to breath almost normal again, after almost 3 months of a very tight chest, but not really congested in my lungs. Some, but very little.
It was almost like I accidentally breathed in smoke from burning plastic or some other toxic substance.
It Sounds like you have been experiencing something similar.
I have wondered if actually it was maybe cv-19, but not bad enough to subject myself to the circus in town. But I’ve lived a a decent life, raised my kids, and have this feeling God is going to make me stay here longer than I want anyway. I don’t know how you set with everything along those lines, but I do really hope your breathing gets back to normal.
You have to do what you think is best, but if you have a doctor in the family, it might not hurt to consult them.

I am breathing fine again. We made a visit to the chiropractor (thank you Bill and Pepper for the suggestions!), and found out I had five ribs out of place, three of which were pressing against my lungs. After a lot of sleuthing, the doc asked if I was involved in a car wreck... the injuries reminded her of a seat belt pressed hard against the chest during a sudden stop...hmm... So apparently during the accident with the deer, I dislocated those ribs, and continued to work anyway not knowing the situation. I started having very minor difficulty breathing Wednesday night (five days afterwards, I just assumed it was the humidity getting to me), and it got progressively worse. Long story short, doc Sawbones all but jumped on me, and I heard tremendous cracking/popping noises, and a rush of pain. I am a tad sore, but I'm breathing fine.

RR,
I missed this post earlier, glad you are breathing good again!

Sorry to hear that things haven't been the best times for your family. Having one pass on is hard no matter the circumstances and like they sat time heals all.
Until then it seems like an open wound of sorrow in ones heart.

I lost 5 members of the family in a 10yr span.
It was a long road of just feeling down about them all.

My condolences to you and your family for your loss.

Well I did the do and started the process of fixing the coffee maker.
I just watched a video on Cuisinart coffee maker toggle key repair

Now I thing it might be easier to just switch the toggle key with another machine I picked up at the reuse store.
Wife did a review of coffee makers and even the high end models got bad reviews. :dontknow:
So I will fix the other old one now that has the stainless thermal carafe.
The best feature of the older machine it has the on/off feature for that idiot beeper that happens 5 x in a row.:BangHead:

I'm just ugly if the coffee making process doesn't come off well for me in the morning-me needs the multi :coffee2:version to operate/start my day.

Now to grind the beans up is another :BangHead: for us.
The world says buy a burr-grinder-so when the grinder died we started using a regift-it died a short life-so we broke down and bought a burr grinder.

What a mistake-the auto shut off-stopped working-go to how to solve problem-"Grind rice through the unit to clean"
Now I've ground enough rice through this arfing grinder that I know that fix doesn't fix.
We have to shut the door when it grinds because of the noise.
When we take out the container that it grinds into-take the lid off-grounds fly everywhere as the static electricity makes the grounds stick to the plastic. GGGRRRR!

Now we're cheap' but not that cheap, but I'm not spending $$$ for a grinder/coffee making unit.

Meile has a $4000+ for a coffee unit-I looked at the store owner and said like that won't happen.:laughing7:

Ok
I've aired my coffee rant - we'z good now that #3 :coffee2:is sliding me into a peaceful blitz.:laughing7:

Good morning Dave.

Well we've started the process of packing for our cottage rental next week... we leave tomorrow morning.
We all have lists of 'stuff' to bring, the real challenge will be squeezing three of us and all of our 'stuff' into our 2018 Hyundai Kona for a 3hr drive up north. :laughing7:

I sure do miss my 2019 GMC Sierra pickup right now. :sadsmiley:
