The Peralta Stones

Thom,

Many thanks. When I was young and stupid I often went in with my dog Juno for a partner. You can't imagine the adventures that dog shared with me over the years. Believe a mountain lion got him out in Colorado.

I have seen magnificent country in my lifetime, but nothing I have seen drew me back like the Supe's. :notworthy:

Take care,

Joe

I do understand about losing a friend like Juno.
I lost Tank in Febuary . He would have been 14 this year.
I do have several other dogs but they can't seem to measure up.

Thom

ORO WROTE: since I "demand" to see a photo of an """"ore sample,"""" from a lost gold mine which has been claimed to have been found. "Oro please help me here" Since """"everyone knows"""" (a) the mine is obviously protected (b) All miners are killed who threaten this protection (c) I asked 10 of my friends who claim to be extremely fearless and they say its suicide and wont enter the superstitions or go near my location (d) my own mother tells me its suicide (e) so if i dont want to commit suicide and my friends and mother dont want me to commit suicide what is my best approach? what is my best approach? for an ore sample when no one has lived ever in the delivery of said sample. Im not trying to discourage you but what would you propose as the proper method? Mr. graves attempted recently to no avail short of a gun fight so how oro how?

Good lord amigo. All miners are killed who threaten this protection? Where are you getting this idea? People have died in the Superstitions and yes there have been murders. However, there are literally thousands of visitors each and every year amigo, and the over-weaning majority manage to survive their experience without harm. There are several of our amigos here who go into the Supers on a regular basis. Are you saying that they are more courageous than your extremely fearless friends? My wife has gone a-trekking through the Superstitions too - so is she also more brave than those same fearless friends?

If there is someone threatening harm or even attacking and killing people in the Superstitions amigo, I guarantee you this; he (or she) won't be able to keep at it very long. Law enforcement has a way of 'catching up' with such persons.

I would not tell you to go into the Superstitions un-armed amigo, nor tell you it was utterly safe; it is dangerous to a degree and there is always the chance of a whacko on the loose. However there are far more whackos living and operating in the city limits, and far more murders there too.

It sounds as if you have found your excuse for why you just can't show anyone even a small piece of ore from that LDM mine, because it would be "suicide". I guess we are left with a Mexican Standoff
reservoir-dogs-mexican-standoff.jpg

- you won't show a piece of ore, and I won't agree that you have in fact found the LDM without it. How can we ever reconcile our paradox? ???

Good luck and good hunting to you all, I hope you find the treasures that you seek.

cactusjumper;
Very nice pics. You asked me if I could tell you where a mineral outcropping was in one of the pics you posted and If I knew of the place shown in another pic. Well in pic one, you can see the outcrop in the center of the picture and a small amount can be seen in the uper right corner. As for pic two, I would have to say that it's a picture of the place of massacre if im not mistaken.

If you happen to pass by that mineral spot again, I would suggest that you look in the woods that run from left to right in the pic, I am certain the you will find something of interest there.

cactusjumper;
I am really interested in these photos, as to where they were taken ? It's all good if you don't want to share that info. thanks in advance.

My bad.... I know this place well. from there you go directly east down to the valley below and you should find an old place of residence. If you continue north down the valley, you will come to pete's canyon. If you go to the west from this place, you will see Battleship Mountain. Right???

Is that your chopper? If it is ? It's a shame we don't see eye to eye in this or else you and I could accomplish SO much in SO little time. It's all good. Do like the pics though thanks!!!

Notice how the minerals show themselves from out from under the ground, A great spot for gold to be found but gold IS where you find it. I have found places here in my home town, that had all the qualities of a gold bearing vein but no gold.

Bear - right or wrong, I give you points for taking Joe's challenge - if nothing else, it shows a great deal of confidence in yourself and that's worth something!

Good afternoon my friend Bear: I am posting 3 pictures all are of hidden mines / portals. I know Where Tayopa is, can you suggest the location of it and the location of the others, including the mission site?

This is not a test as such, just a general thingie

Oro, Relax, while one is El Naranjo, it most probably is NOT Your Naranjo, stilllllll?? However you may have to check out Bear's data soon.

Don Jose de La Mancha

p.s. no problems since I own all 3 sites

Not knowing the area nor the story of the toyopa mine. Here are my thoughts.
Pic (1) I circled a place looks like a good place to search. the crack that follows up the side of where I marked would be a spot that I would search.
pic (2) The larger circle that I did, shows the swirls that indicate minerals could be near. The other mark looks like another place I would search.
pic (3) this pic, I would give the same explanation as pic 2.

Remember....this I do with just a random pic of a place I know nothing about.

good afternoon My Friend: No they aren't in the Superstitions, they are in Chihuahua, Mexico.

#1, one mine, #2, one mine, # 3, 18 mines, most of gopher hole mines, Except Tayopa which is a large one.

Geodesic UTM

Latitude N 28* 00' 26 1560 Y - 3 099,530.320

Longitude. W 108* 56' 57 8662 X - 701,634.01

It is something for you to play with, it is NOT a test. But if you can come close, it will raise the confidence level with the doubters.

Besides Oro has a deep interest in them, especially El Naranjo. He is supposed to be the one to finally open it.

Good afternoon again: this is 'not' an attempt to get off post, or subject, just a general talk. The entire area is composed of an 800 ft layer of basalt on top of a layer of Limestome - hint.

It was fragmented and twisted by the same forces that help forge the Superstitions. In general the contact zone is where the goodies lie. In the twisting etc., etc., vetical faults were formed and enriched with hydro thermal solutions, I.E Tayopa.

Question for the LDM hunters, is the area also on top of an underlining limestone layer? I have never checked the geological configuration.

I have taken a look at pic #3 and decided that it was too great a distance to make any real guesses but I did add a few marks for you to consider.
YELLOW is for places I would search.
LIGHT BLUE is to show rock layers.
RED is to show you, what I call cracks in the earths crust.

The best way I could discribe these cracks is to tell you to go to Google Earthviewer and take a look at the bottom of the oceans in the East/West direction. Pacific has fewer then Atlantic. You can follow these lines on land as well if you look carefully. Fault lines are another good source to look for to find minerals.
For me to give you a better Idea of where to search, I would need to have closer pics that will show the faults and cracks, as well as the mineral/Quartz rocks around that area. I am afraid that's the best I can do.

The large circle shows the best thing to look for, a place where it looks like the rock is folding in on itself.
