The Peralta Stones

I'd like to give (yet another) contribution to off-topic mules/horses/donkeys/whatever.
When I first moved to my present property - a modest 27-acre lot (hey, we are talking about TX here!) - I was severely plagued by coyotes and feral hogs - the latter left part of my property like a newly-ploughed tattie-field (that's potato-field for you Americans - Don Jose will know the word 'tattie'!).
I eventually got a hold of two donkeys (they are called Jose and Cuervo respectively!) - and after that: No more coyotes, no mnore hogs! They are the best investment ever!! And their eyes .... :rolling eyes: ... you've gotta see'em to believe it - just beautiful!!

Back to the stones of course! ;-)

Per

Ahhh... Forget the "Stones"..._ It's all already been found anyway according toooooo.............

Lets talk about them donkeys! :icon_thumleft:

i know this off topic, but i figured with mules and other such talk i figured now is the best time as ever. I am trying to find a metal detector, need some opinions. every company claims that they have the best one, your thoughts? oh, and of course nothing at a rediculous price, i am looking for something reasonable. thanks guys (and beth) (and BB).........lol just kidding BB!!

Depends on what you call reasonable.

Seems that if you are hunting treasure, then you would want the absolute best detector for your type of treasure hunting.

I have about $9,000 worth of detectors. All of them are Minelab except my Fisher Labs Gemini Two-Box (for really big, really deep targets). Each one excels at something different.

Pick what you do the most and gear your detector choice to that. The more types of detecting you expect from a detector, the less well it will perform in each.

Example: My Minelab XTerra 70 is a great all around detector. It is extremely light and my first choice to pack into a new area. It even has a Prospecting Mode. It is great for small things relatively shallow. When I am nugget hunting, I leave the XTerra in the truck. Nothing beats my heavily modified Minelab SD2000 Gold Machine. Under optimal conditions it can retrieve nuggets from over 36" in depth (compared to the sixteen or so inches of the XTerra).

J1,

You assume that the Stone Maps have something to do with the LDM. It ain't necessarily so. :o

Take care,

Joe

your out right wrong joe .....the stones do in fact locate the mine no matter what you call the mine ..you just dont know how to read a map,... i guess ...LOL

Paul,

"I find it extremely strange and illogical to have BB constantly berate "treasure hunters" for their greed, when it's obvious he has that same greed. If he had no greed whatsoever (either monetarily or narcisistic), it would be SO SIMPLE for him to prove hsi find to the world. Simply take a wide assortment of people as a group out to his location with video cameras and reporters and prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt. He'd likely lose any possible financial reward, and may lose any "glory" reward as far as being the one who finally solved it, but he'd have the satisfaction of knowing he did it - the reason he doesn't do that is simply greed - just like any of us, despite his claims that he has NO greed at all and is purely altruistic."

I don't know that I can agree that bb's motivation is greed here, unless he thinks he can convince someone to invest in his.....stories, and there have been so many.

From day one, it has been about entertainment for him. He has bragged about his making fools of us all, over on YAHOOKA.com. A number of us visited the site and read his own words.

Considering his close association with pot over a long period of time, his stories here make perfect sense. It would be interesting to see if he has the balls to honestly address what I have just written. I expect more bluster and B.S. to be his answer.

Take care,

Joe

If he does, you'll have to "quote" him or send me his response via e-mail as I no longer read any of his posts.

bb,

It's so easy to predict what you will write, because it just never changes over the years.

I don't believe luck has anything to do with the fact that you will never show your face at a Rendezvous. It's because you know you can't back up one word of the thousands you have posted here. You are only too aware that you would be laughed out of camp.

On the other hand, in one sense I would agree with you. We are all lucky you will never show up. At least here, we can put you on IGNORE!

Everything I wrote about you and the things you have said on YAHOOKA.com is true. Druggie talk is one thing, posting it on a public forum is another. Not too smart.

OK bb,

This will be your last chance to say something that makes sense. I have posted my map which shows why the dagger points north. Anyone who can read a topographic map, which you claim some expertise at, can follow the Stone Maps from where the tip rests. That point is Parker Pass.

You, on the other hand, have never shown anything that explains why you keep harping that the dagger does not point north. On the one hand we have my map and the Stone Maps as physical evidence. On your side, we have your constantly flapping lips saying nothing.

Last chance to say something of slight interest and show some degree of intelligence is still within your grasp. I have serious doubts. Prove me wrong!

J1,

I appreciate the concern. Every now and then, I need to twist bb's nose. I know it's a weakness, but I just can't help it.

Take care,

Joe
