The Many Lost Treasures of Mariposa, CA (Photos Added)

Well, this post sure didn't recieve much of a response. Now, I'm starting to wonder if I should finish up the last of "The Book", or just forget about it.

Is anyone out there still interested in recieving a personally autographed copy of an over 200 page book of my exploits??

like timberjack said i'm sure there are readers out there dying for the chance to swing coils with you however like myself we just live a hair too far away. although the idea of a $50 gold slug would get me on the highway before the break of dawn lol. as for the book id be willing to shell out $25 even $30 for an autographed copy.

I'm about 8.5 hrs from mariposa and don't have a metal detector or I'd try to be out swinging one with you

Hokay, I've been thinking about these posts, ever since they were made. I've also had a couple of pm's and a phone call about the book. So, the questions are now; "How many copies would I sell". AND, "How many of my readers/friends would be willing to place a $25.00 deposit into my PayPal acct. (Keep in mind that PayPal charges a 'handling fee'.) knowing that if I don't get enough to pay the publishing Co. I would refund all depositors. And, if I get more than expected, then I could have enough books printed to lower your cost for the book.

So, here's a "special request": If you would be willing to place $25.00 into PayPal for a "Pre-order" payment, just post in this thread: YES (If you would want more than one copy, you could put YES [2 or 3].)

Not much typing required there. (lol)

If we don't get enough yes's over the next week, I'll just have to look around for another way to get it published.

Thanks for being my friends!!

Love and Respect,

Eagle

Hokay, our first YES! GREAT!

I should add, if anyone that wants a copy of the book, but doesn't like the formality of going through PayPal, you can still answer with a YES and when we have enough yes's, I'll post my private mailing address, along with my PayPal ID and you can send a Postal Money Order to the mailing address. That way, no one will be left out. (lol)

I'm going to try. Funds have been tight lately but $25 isn't too bad for a good book

And, the book might be less. It depends on how many copies I can afford to order at one time. Also, as I stated a couple of pages back, what with reviewing, editing and finally pasting the pictures into the finished manuscript, it will probably be about a month before I'm fully ready to take it to the publisher.

In other words; there's still time. (lol)

Have you considered releasing an ebook version for a slightly discounted price on amazon as a way of generating some of your printing costs?

I am considering it, plus oakview2 was kind enough to send me a link for another outlet for ebooks. But, in any case, that's at least a couple of weeks in the future. And, as JHAtwater said, there are those of us who prefer a hard copy that we can scribble notes and underline in. (lol)

Thanks for the suggestion!!

EagleDown, lets get back to your wonderful stories.
Have patience my Friend. I will get back to the stories as soon as I get this book out of the way. (And who knows?, maybe while I'm still working on it.) Frankly, it's hard to concentrate on writing new stories with this book occupying most of my thoughts. I've been working on it (off and on) for about 2 years now, but over the last 3 or 4 months, it has come to occupy most of my "leisure" time. So, once it's complete, I'll be back writing and preparing for that second book. (lol)

But; a lot depends on how fast and how many yes' we get.
