The Lost Doc Thorne Mine - was it the same mine of Jacob Waltz?

bump - wondering if you've seen other claims that Waltz was involved in.

Yes but I didn't save them as no one seemed interested in the ones I had already posted. Real facts are not easy to find & I don't have time to look for them again. Some were posted in newspaper archives but I don't remember which archives I was searching. Maybe: Chronicling America « Library of Congress

Ok so it's ok to criticize other peoples beliefs but not ok to criticize your beliefs?

Ask the Hopi Indians about ant people & snake people. There is a whole lot of evidence that they existed. Many more "facts" than there are on the LDM. Cave drawings, ect.

Kind of a double standard?

Hey, maybe that why Waltz didn't file a claim on the "lost" mine. It was occupied!

If you claim Folklore as Fact without proof expect criticism. Basically what you have done is ruin a very good thread discussing Doc Thorne by interjecting you OPINION as FACT without any valid proof, kinda like the confusion about a certain "Mission" and "Mummy". So, asking nicely here, can we get back to Doc Thorne and you can go start a thread somewhere else about Fairy Tales, I'm sure there are others who will give you all the encouragement and attention you desire, just don't expect the Lost Dutchman Forum to roll over and accept your Folklore as Facts.

As for me I will continue to respect others beliefs, just don't expect me to believe the moon is made of cheese.

Lots of people have claimed to find the LDM.

The Coconino sun [microform]., February 07, 1903 & Daily Arizona silver belt., October 30, 1908

I have to stop I don't have time but I could post newspapers claiming that the LDM was found all day.

You should have saved them. There are a number of authors and researchers I know who have traveled to the various county recorders in Arizona digging through old claim records for Waltz's name to appear. The only ones I know of that have ever been found are the 3 you posted and every dutchhunter I know has already seen those, so that's why posting them again didn't cause much interest. The only reason I mentioned it is because looking back at it again, I saw where you had mentioned 15 claims.

I've dug through the old newspaper archives you linked a number of times, but haven't found anything new regarding Waltz, but there are enough newspapers to take me a lifetime to search through.

If you run across any of those claims again, please post them as they would definitely be something new to the researchers I know.

Thanks

Maybe you misunderstood me - most of us have seen all those newspaper articles you're posting about claims of FINDING the LDM - there are as you said, MANY over the years. I was asking about the 15 mining claims you said Waltz had been part of filing on.

Think we've got our wires crossed.

Cubfan, the notices are in one of the paper archives. I forget what site and what search terms I used. They look something like:

Cubfan I probably searched for the other names shown on the claims that I posted. In other words when Waltz returned nothing I searched for Gross and the other names listed on the claims.

Yes we can get back to the lost mines. Actually I already have.

Can you show me verifiable proof & facts of the lost mines or are they just stories, fairy tales & folklore?

Please don't interject you OPINION as FACT without any valid proof

I think Oro already covered this, but those stories don't involve lizard people.

You think? Why not just post the proof & verifiable facts?

Lizard people are more verifiable than the lost mine stories. They are backed up by artifacts, cave drawings and are a part of the Indian Culture and beliefs.

oroblanco hasn't provided any proof that I could find. Actually the threads he started show that he doesn't have a clue. (Is the Pit Mine really the Lost Dutchman mine? - The Lost Doc Thorne Mine - was it the same mine of Jacob Waltz?)

Is the LDM the same mine as the pit mine or the doc thorne mine or the waltz mine or one of the numerous others who claimed to have found a lost mine? Is there mine one of the lost mines as they claim?

Yes I do think, and I am quite good at it. I tend to keep an open mind while doing so, apparently my standard of Factual Proof is a bit more stringent than yours.

Do you have any lizard people remains to show? Or does the idea of a Story to keep children from misbehaving because the lizard people may get them make more sense?

I think there is more salt underground than gold, HowStuffWorks "Salt Mining" So Np, oops..........chlsbrns (Charlie Browns?) Perhaps some more investigation into Native Folklore is in order to get some Facts before you decide they are real. I'm sure my ancestors had a good laugh at the Europeans when they told these stories to them.

Why don't you just answer the question instead of dancing around it? You think? Why not just post the proof & verifiable facts about the lost mine that you demand and require from me? Same old double standard! Your standard of factual proof is stringent but you believe in lost mines with zero proof of their existence while you disbelieve what can be seen in ancient cave drawings and are part of the Indian Culture.

Here is some proof. I won't hold my breath waiting for you to provide any proof.

This seems familiar. Sorry I don't dance. The only thing I am "asking" is to verify your information before you sate it as fact. Anybody can Google information and get all kinds of stuff in a couple minutes, validating that information can take a little longer :cat: Starchild skull - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You are still avoiding the original question. What's it going to take for you to just provide verifiable proof of the LDM or any lost mine? Not to mention that it is Waltz's descendants that are claiming that Waltz traded salt for gold with humanoid creatures.

I've gotten back on topic posting a multitude of news articles about Dr Thorne while you continually dance around a simple request.
