Late to the game, but will add my vote to the stack.

You were overdue this with the roll your on, I knew it was coming, you put the time & effort in. For me, 1 Celtic Gold makes the year, so looks like an early hit should set up your 2015.

True Cru, time and effort is the key.

Wow that's really incredible! You must be super bummed that you didn't find a hammered silver but that will have to do until you get your next lol. Great job buddy I'm super psyched for you. It's hard to wrap your head around a coin of that age being in such incredible condition. The beauty of gold. Let's see that sucker up top
Cheers Ahab, true old gold is something else. Hard to imagine the buying power, in Celtic times of this single coin.

Wow!!!

Wtg Rob!!! I'm trying to figure out how to vote you in for a banner! New phone... might have to do it on the desktop! What detector were you using it when you found it? What did it come up as? Can we get more sexy pictures of it?! Nothing specific of course but where abouts did you dig that gorgeous thing up at? Even just a regional area would be informative. Sorry about all the questions. Just an inquisitive mind at work here...

realy nice one! gz!

Celtic Gold Cleaned

Here's some pictures of the Celtic gold stater cleaned. Only had to rinse it with water. Looks as good as the day it was made, about 60BC.

That is an awesome find and I put my Banner vote in on the other Thread! I have found that after rinsing a Gold coin off with water, if you bath it with Rubbing Alcohol, it will really bring the shine out in the Gold.

Absolutely beautiful.
That would have to be my favorite kind of ancient coin.

I'm just gonna keep on voting Banner on this 2000+ year old coin. Does it get much better than that? I think not

Once again I'll say incredible Robert! My banner vote is in.
