Spurred on by Colins Comment that I should have found something special by now. I got my mad up today:laughing7:. result a nice chunk of Celtic gold. No id as yet, it will be though from the Corieltauvi tribe, and date to before the birth of Christ. Not hammered silver, but beggers can't be choosers:laughing7:.

Robert.

About time you got a no brainer find for us to hit that banner button, congrats on the beautiful Celtic stater Robert it's a crisp one for sure. :occasion14:

What does it weigh?

Congrats! Great picture showing the gold with dirt still on it. Looking forward to reading more about the coin after it is identified. My vote is in-Banner!

Totally awesome! Hope it makes a banner! Stunning coin!

wow, sweet score, it's a full stater right? Got an idea on the weight?

Regardless, banner all day, congrats! :coins:

Great find. Congratulations!

See what you can do with a little spurring on :laughing7: I hit the banner button now. Nice one Rob.

Looks like a Early uninscribed gold stater, British (Corieltauvi) type I, big payday if it is.

That is a beautiful piece of gold! And your fifth one? Wow! Lets see a picture of all five if you still have them.

Hello Steve, coins long sold. Think I can rustle up a picture of most of them. Should be on a memory stick somewhere.

People are saying banner(which it is) but they can't be voting, other wise it would be up top by now.:BangHead:

Late to the game, but will add my vote to the stack.

You were overdue this with the roll your on, I knew it was coming, you put the time & effort in. For me, 1 Celtic Gold makes the year, so looks like an early hit should set up your 2015.

CONGRATS

Hello Plumbata, not sure of weight, kitchen scales not working. Probably about 6 grams.

Nice to see it weighing up there, any ID as of yet? Really liking the strike on the coin it's a beauty, and should be up there soon.

Maybe it needs a bath? :)

Wow that's really incredible! You must be super bummed that you didn't find a hammered silver but that will have to do until you get your next lol. Great job buddy I'm super psyched for you. It's hard to wrap your head around a coin of that age being in such incredible condition. The beauty of gold. Let's see that sucker up top
