Season 12

Who Can Think...Outside Of The "Box"?

When one is programed to only see what one wants to see.." This refers to the process of perceiving information in a way that is influenced by one's expectations, motivations, or needs. Essentially, we "see" what we expect to see, or what we want to see."

I am amazed by how quickly the Laginas come to the conclution as to what they have found and where this item may have originated from, along with their ideas of what the "Swamp" was used for...not taking into considerations as to how previous Civilizations may have designed their use for this Swamp?
Keep water in?...Or...Keep water out?

Example!
Think outside the "Box"!
Can you draw a Rectangular Treasure Vault with 3 beams?

Answer ...Spoiler Alert..."Next Post!"
That's why I watch the show to see what they'll say next or do. Many or most of their conclusions I believe are scripted and filmed as such. I too notice that most items found somehow is related to something of value buried.

And all the speculation on the rock roads are much about nothing I believe. Nobody needs a rock road to bury something of value. Just unload from a ship, dig a hole, pack up, place in hole and cover up. Why all the work on a rock road to bury something...?

they continue to mention the fictional “solution channel”

Hmmm. Except that many/most of your fellow skeptics have opined that there never were man-made flood tunnels routing seawater from the coast, and instead were simply natural voids and fissures in the bedrock that were connected to the sea, i.e. the very solution channel that Rick Lagina has described. So calling it fictional would put you at odds with that consensus.

BTW, one of the non-partisan science assessments contracted by Triton concluded that the "cavern" below Borehole 10-X was likely in the size and shape it was when surveyed because of Dan Blankenship's application of dynamite as an excavation technique. Dynamite has been used in several places on the island by the different syndicates, including in the Money Pit proper and in attempts to stopper flood tunnels from Smith's Cove. So if there wasn't a solution channel to start with (in the dawn of the search era), there very likely is one now.

Agreed. The roads and pathways would be more about semi-permanent facilities on the island that pre-date the known farmsteads. That could point to long-term army encampments by the British or French, or some non-state actor with lots of resources. The connection to the Money Pit could be incidental or not related at all. If there were some group that had long-term presence on the island and had a non-treasure reason to build a deep shaft, then either they or a follow-on bunch with no connection may have simply re-used it for other purposes later. Or the most boring explanation of all: "if we don't take care of this open shaft someone's going to fall in and die, let's fill it in."

Curse of Oak Island Season 12, Episode 21 Recap

More nonsensical kookie theories such as a knights of malta/ templar connection to the island.

More finding of (GASP) common remnants of human habitation. The continued mentioning of the laginas fictional creation of yet another treasure vault.

The plausible way out of their scam (solution channel) is mentioned several times.

The fake roman sword was the start of their being exposed. Whether they buy and remove websites with factual information debunking the treasure claims or keep inventing new fiction, their scam is fully exposed.
