Tom,

Well now the slow process of cleaning and putting it all back together again like humpty dumpty....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

YEP!

But I tell ya, it is better this happens now as to deal later with this problems and do all work (and more!) later again!
Also I see now all problems and know that every little bit of corrosion has to be removed to make micro cracks visible so the electrolysis can real do it´s work to bring every bad stuff out!
The piece will look later as it was never cracked and it will be real stable. :icon_thumleft:

The big problem on this pieces is, that my diver friend never used any electrolysis or even cleaned the object properly. 10 or 15 years in fresh water is not enough! You can not bring out salt etc. when pieces are still covert with layers of homogeneously corrosion. The water goes may a little bit in the upper layer but it can not wash out deeper laying stuff!

I am worried because I kind of understood you :(

HBP,

Yep if there's any residual salt or rust it won't be stable and will start to decompose if it's not removed completely. As twisted as Tom can be at times he does have a logical side to him kind of a ying yang thing....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

Folks,

Thought I'd share a couple of detecting finds in honour of Veterans/Remembrance Day.

Its Not fast or cheap, but its a start :)

Man, I could think of a few operations where this could be of good use.

However having done many joint operations with UAE so called Special Forces and Special Police units, I can say that if this thing is out and they own it, then you can bet there is stuff 100 times better already out because any gear for tactical support or operations, these people are known for buying the worst on the block and having the worst trained operators ever.
