Already hunted there, for 38 days straight.

Lots of cool stuff found, some amazing items.

Oh, wait, let me back up there. I got to hunt it, someone else marked it and 3 people would do the digging. Heck I did not even get to see but about a third of the stuff.

I'm not too keen on hunting with other people.
Sounds like you almost had an expedition there lol

I am in Michigan ( couldn’t let the crazy woman know)
Just bought a coin collection, hope I did well

Just two, not all of value, but I bought them all
Some 90% silvers

Got several Canadian coins too Uncle Bill

jeff,

Well to get an idea of the value of the silver coins I'd check out Kitco they show the scrap value of silver coins by weight(I'm not allowed to provide a link as it's a commercial site). If the coins are in tip top shape or rarer they could be worth more than that.

Folks,

Here's a French video on permaculture of Le Bec Hellouin farm. Not bad they can produce 10 times the volume of food as commercial agriculture doing it the natural way without all the chemicals.

I picked up their book and just started it should be instructive.

All are used, doubt any are of much value

Is that fella Canadian; just figured he is because he does not try to lay on a thick LAZY dialect, and speaks really clear.

By the way mate, promised I would not tell but Gold Boy says perma SUX.

Just messing around mate, Gold Boy is still a teen, you would be lucky to get him to press play on that, and if he did then it was just skimmed for fast cars and nipples.

Oddjob,

No the guy is French but probably from an area without a heavy accent plus he travelled a lot sailing before settling down to farming, etc....

lol...funny thing is most farms were pretty much run this way in days gone by, what some people called subsistence or mixed farms. They were run by a single family and maybe consisted of 5 or 10 acres. They grew fruits and vegetables and raised livestock for their own needs and sold the surplus to buy stuff they didn't produce.

Simpler times but the food produced was what they call organic today and costs a fortune....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

jeff,

Well the US silver 1964 and earlier is 90% silver content and the going rate is $9.00 per $1.00 face value.

Caleb12 wouldn't part with his diamond collection ? :laughing7: I saw your other post Jeff, again sorry for the passing. I am like you, I think I would buy someone's collection of silver coins rather than try to start my own collection. Way to many Chinese fakes out there. Buying from family should be safer, letting someone else sort out the fakes from real ones. ( Didn't know you were married, was this just this week ? :laughing9: :laughing9: :laughing9: ) Did she do a background check on you ? :tongue3:

Simon,

True about the fake coins a couple of years ago a fellow I knew that used to go belong to a stamp club we went to brought in about 12 or old US silver dollars. These were classic era from the late 1700's to early/mid 1800's in very nice condition.

They belonged to a friend of his and since he knew I dabbled in coins he asked me what I thought....well the look and feel wasn't quite right. Keep in mind if these were legit they'd be worth about $1,000. each or so. Luckily I had a metal tester on my keychain and they stuck.....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

I suggested his friend keep them as a conversation piece.
