To folks like me and my family we do not know any other way of eating; junk foods and processed stuff with chemicals not only taste bad to us but after a life of living this way your body can not deal with even the smallest amount of poison.

My only serious thing I do that I should not do is I chew and dip; however it is all home grown and no chemical, cured but not fermented, all chopped, shredded or ground by me. Back in my Army days I was put down really hard about 3 years before my 20 and earning my 50% retirement. Spent a year getting better, in my 18th year I was medically retired at 100%. So that was nice, spent a good year though fighting hard and getting back in shape, hell with no chew in my system and fully recovered (even though the Army said it would never happen) I dropped my 150 mile cycle time down 61 minutes, and my 100 mile cycle time in a velodome went down even better. Pure beast, faster all around on road, track and especially in a velomobile. Normal weight lifting was fine. I was in better shape after my recovery than I ever was my entire career.

I started chewing again, not because I was addicted, or craved it...... Just because I liked it, and I had noticed the negative effect it had, but really I was still going harder and faster than I had before my retirement so I never worried about.

I do have one other thing that is bad actually; I will drink me a Cola once a year. Tab, generally speaking no matter where I am overseas or at home I always find me a Tab. But thats it, no booze of any sort, surely no dope, I am not a fan of medication and have not had any antibiotics since 2013 when I ended up with a puncture injury down range, it was only a precaution and only for 5 days, just did not want to risk it. Happened during an Op, and we even irrigated the heck out of the wound, but in the end what pushed me to take antibiotics was the fact that it swelled up as soon as it happen, we pulled the metal out right away, it had a really good healthy bleed, but during the irrigation the swelling went down a good amount, so I was just chickenshit thinking the worst that I must have something bad in me.

Do not get me wrong, I still eat plenty of grilled food or smoked foods, I just do it in a healthy manner and I eat a great deal of vegi, fruit and nuts too, certainly more than meats. But I know my body, so many people do not have a clue what their bodies are screaming at them, it is really sad.

But thats all good, world is over populated anyway.

My Interpol career I was very lucky and had an extremely healthy Team, heck some guys if you ask me where over healthy if that can happen. I knew healthy guys on Teams that where not all healthy and that really sucks. Healthy people have to be tolerant and put up with the nasty smells of fried food, fast food or what ever else like gallons of coffee or soda products. But as soon as we pull out our food, it smells like too much garlic or it smells spicy, its always something with them.

Those are the same guys you see at the range or on course firing their weapons all calm and relaxed with a low pulse rate and talking crap to everyone. Not me and my guys, we where training harder than what would get thrown at us and breathing out of ourasses and still on target with better times.

I still can not stand seeing someone in Uniform or providing selfless service that is a fatass, no matter how poor, how wealthy, how educated or uneducated you are I say good on you and thank you, but the fat ones, they need to remain in the office out of public eye providing service that way. Last thing anyone ever wants is showing up, it turns mobile and when it is said an done you are damn worried about what happened to porky, and no matter how many times it happens you never think that maybe he was just to fat to keep up, you always think the worst, so when you find him or her you are really pissed.

Just my thoughts on health, really when it comes down to it, health is a custom thing and a personal choice.

I have read there are no carcinogens in pure tobacco.
Been really getting health conscious last few tears.
Lost my taste for cake and desserts somewhere.
Very seldom drink-luckily never needed it.
What I dislike is seeing overweight cops, and you go to a doc and every one of these health professionals are overweight lol.
Although I got sepsis couple years ago through a cut in my foot and didn't know what going on until I was close to dead. They were giving me the stuff they use to treat anthrax :)
The silver lining was the nurses were white hot! Must have been a job requirement.
Unfortunately they only kept me a week. Next time I saw my Primary doctor I told him I lived in spite of the prayers of my family :p

Buddy, because bad infections you get a recipe tomorrow made out of tree resign. It is hundreds of years old and works very very well!
It is highly antiseptic like Propolis - which has same ingredients. Easy to make (cook) and to store for longer time.

My daughter had some time ago a bad infection on a toe and got antibiotics etc. but nothing worked and the toe got bigger and bigger. With this stuff two days later the infection was nearly gone and she was able to cut the nail which was the reason for the infection. It looked real nasty with all the growing wild flesh but after 5 or 6 days it was ok again.

Simply incredible what nature can do instead of this chemical stuff :icon_thumright: There is a reason why bees uses it since millions of years to make their hives sterile!!

Never played those games.

I was in the beginning of computers full into adventure games like Monkey Island, Broken Sword and my all time favorite Lands of Lore (1). Than a family member brought me to Medal of Honor, Call of Duty and RTCW.
I never liked shooters but those with a historical background and such great atmosphere on original locations of WWII took me on a hook. Guess I broke a lot of time records playing RTCW BLIND LOL

I just watched a "Let´s play" of Assassins creed (The pirate game) on YT. GREAT!! It is incredible what is possible now with graphics etc!

You ever hear of Darklands? It was a rpg based on medieval Germany as those people believed the world to be. With saints and witches. Demons.
Plus the robber knights and bandits.
I never cared for shooters. Needed a story. So I played Elder Scrolls Arena and those fantasy games.
I got one new computer and from then on built my own. Not hard really. What I would like is a 486 dos computer to play my old games again.
Oh I did like Tomb Raider.

Alright folks, nearly 0200 here in Austria. I have a meeting in 4 hour, so I need to be up in 2 hours. See you all around.

Tom get well, and check them sites out mate. Velomobiles will change everything about your life.

In Austria???

I looked for Salzberg in germany and this is only two hours from my home! Austria is many more hours away from us...

I guess you mean Salzburg, close to the german border and not Salzberg :icon_thumleft::icon_thumright:

Sounds great! That stuff they gave me had bad permanent side effects but the sepsis had spread all through my blood.
I have wondered, if things get crazy, what you do if you need medicines. Reminds me there is a book I need to find.
I'm not paranoid but there are a lot of things going on which happened before and led to wars.

Those kind of RPG´s was not mine. I just LOVE Lands of Lore. Even Eye of the beholder was too far away from it and I never finishe dit.

I like Tomb Rider too but I do more favorite Indiana Jones - The infernal machine and the older Fate of Atlantis :icon_thumright:

Btw. You can play your old games with ScummVM!! I play all my old games with it. You can put them into a directory and chose from there which one you wanna start. A real great free tool to simulate older PC´s!

https://www.scummvm.org/downloads/

There are also addons out to simulate 386 and others!

you mean this one?

Yes! I still remember an epic battle when my party went to kill a robber knight plaguing folks.
We fought through narrow corridors, clearing rooms, until we were nearly dead. Then we met the robber knight! What a battle! He nearly won but one of my girls, who had no skill with a bow, managed to finish him off with a bow as our fighter lay on the floor. If not for her we would have lost everything. I always equipped everyone with a bow or crossbow because of those damn narrow corridors lol.

Thanks! I got to fix supper so have to talk later.
I am thinking I might have Lands of Lore. I used to buy old games from flea markets and such cause I liked the old stuff and old computers.

To prevent this, next time if you have a cut or something, you can put it directly on the wound!

But if you have lost any body parts or something like this, you may go to a hospital!! :laughing7:

We just have used it yet for infections or fresh wounds. A septic mostly comes from too much covert wounds where no air goes to it. If I have a larger would and got a scab on it, I always removed it before any pus was growing. A wound with closed scab is always a breading nest for any bacteria inside.

Oh, I never got a sepsis in my life and never got a tetanus shot!

I just remember when I was a child my my parents told me not to remove the scab. It got every single time pus under it. When I removed it, nothing happens! So it seems bacteria can not handle oxygen very well.

I put "superglue" over them and no problem, no pain and protects the area so I can still wash with soap and water.

HBP,

I was more or less kiding about needing the extra money. Me and the missus lead a fairly comfortable lifestyle and are not really hurting financially.

The stock market, detecting, etc....are pretty much just stuff I do for a challenge and to keep busy. Being retired doesn't mean you set on a rocking chair it gives you the luxury of choosing what you do with your time. I'd get bored stiff just setting around the house all day....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:
=======
Well........... having that 15,000 square foot estate would be boring Bill . :laughing7:
