Simple Apple Crisp

Peel and core 4 baking apples.
Slice and put them in greased 1-1/2 quart baking dish.

Combine in small bowl:

1 cup flour
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 cup butter

Pour combined ingredients over apples and place in preheated oven at 375 degrees. Bake for 30-35 minutes until slightly crusty and brown. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Serves 6-8. From an old Betty Crocker cookbook.

Alright now, I will be flying back to the States next week. So if you want to multiply that batch time ten, then I will meet you at the airport.

Sorry, late to the party........... Congratulations gold boy on hitting gold.

Any of you "gear-heads" know how to do a smoke test on a Eng ? Cobra's got a vacuum leak :(
=======
Sorry Roger, internet has been down for me and I just got back, ( temporarily ), today and saw your post. That homemade smoke machine looked simple and efficient. Have you found your leak yet ? What are the symptoms ? Engine idle erratic ?

I ordered a new IAC . It might not of liked the cleaning I gave it . Going to replace it first, see what happens .
Symptoms are --- Cold start is perfect, 1 or 2 cranks & fires up. Climbs to 1,000 rpm for a minute (normal). Then drops to 700 rpm (normal).
But after it warms up it climbs to 1,500 and will not come down.
And if that doesn't work I'll install a (IAC) adjuster plate.

Yuuck.

If computer controlled ,your open loop system seems to be more an issue. (Unless ,somehow it goes back to closed loop...).
I am not familiar with your engine , but some older 302's. Like one with an airwash from PCV valve burning a valve. Boo hiss.
I'd trade that 700 for 1500 in a reverse fashion. With 700 happening after the drop from 1500 once warmed up and going to open loop idle. 700 is a wee bit low for comfort but doable ,but then I am not an engineer or highly trained mechanic.

Air intake /below aircleaner housing or below carb expanding with temp could allow a seal or gasket leak to huff air. Certain Ford Escape liked that little trick of air leaks confusing shade tree mechanic and sensors.

A Smaller engine and earlier date probably Ford gave me fits trying to diagnose by scan type readings.
Throttle body sensor replaced ect. ,ect. ect...
Run one way 50 miles to work fine , and then bog on the return trip ; or vice versa.
Put a lot of miles on it.
Had an ex wife call a shop when fuel pump died at her work (before these symptoms came up) early in the history of ownership.
Replaced the fuel pump again after about 150,000 miles on the one replaced earlier.
Felt up on top of the tank after install to feel along fuel line for clearance ect. ....And felt a mild kink....When the shop had replaced the first fuel pump they had extended the fuel line for ease of installation of tank.
Temperature , wind ,bumps too probably had been affecting the kink and starving engine at times ,confusing sensor data.
I shortened the line , and that truck ran like a well tuned race car!

Thanks releventchair.
We'll get figured out :) Your fuel pump experience is exactly why its not in a 'shop' . Some of these so called "mechanics" cause more problems than they fix.:headbang:

I just remembered somewhat similar behavior on my old truck. A vacumn tube was coming off.

even the last part where he lands unharmed. LOL

Actually a few people have fallen thousands of feet and lived.
My nephew came back from Saipan for a visit this summer and he had a Phillipine lady with him.
His parents came from Alabama also.
We are white as you can get. But we don't care about color. She is pretty cool.
I was born and raised in Rocky Ford Colorado. On our block we were one of the few white families. My best friends were Mexicans. Kids don't think about that stuff. There was a black kid came to school for a little while and him and me were starting to be friends but one day they abruptly moved on.
So I come to Missouri when I was about thirteen. One day my dad and I were in a gas station\ store. Grownups shooting the breeze. This old guy says, "I heard there's a family of n------ moving here. We need them like a nest of rattlesnakes!"
I was actually stunned. Not mad-just discombobulated. Never heard anything like that. The other folks looked uncomfortable but someone changed the subject. Honestly there may have been someone present who silently agreed. There is still that attitude to be found.
There might be one black family in this area. Got Mexicans and Laotians. Few Vietnamese.
I have honestly had contact with 3-4 blacks in my life.
They are just not here lol. One guy was a truck driver.
I went out on the dock on break from sorting apples and we just talked about working.
Had a good buddy at my last job. We used to joke around a lot. He had a white wife and a kid.
This area is more tolerant than people think.
I think the media is hurting blacks and has been for years. The blacks who get attention are rappers, pop singers, foul-mouthed comedians and sports figures. Or gang types as well as professional victims. No ordinary people like I knew.
In areas where there are few blacks it is easy to see why some might have a negative view of blacks. They only see the bad.
On the other side too many blacks are led to believe everything is stacked against them.
