I would wear slacks, a dress shirt and some sort of insignia. If they ask what you are doing tell them taking soil samples.
What if you told your wife you guys can ask another woman about the dress. I've heard women dress for other women. Or maybe gush about how slender the red dress makes her look. Although she might respond with Do you think I'm fat?
I've studied women but can't claim to have figured them out. My work is theoretical. I need some test subjects.

Just my experiences lol. It is hard to outwit women but it can be done. Now that I have studied these creatures for years this really is the time to get a girlfriend.

When I read this earlier today, I was so tempted to reply, but I have a deadline at work. It worked out good, because I had time to think about it. Women are not cut from the same cookie cutter the same as men are not cut from the same cookie cutter. Though, both are wired differently. They may have similarities but not everyone comes from the same mold. I don't fit in your mold. Quite the opposite, I watch movies and have to explain what's going on most of the time. When it comes to fixing stuff, your right, I don't know what's going on, but I don't ask a zillion questions either. I silently stand by to give a helping hand if I can and get barked at when I don't foresee the next move. I have on a few occasions solved the problem and was the hero for it. And earlier today I was going to say that I didn't know any of my female friends to be like what you all are describing. But I do. I have one friend that fits your mold and I can only take so much of her myself. I love her dearly, though.

I suggest you make every first date a movie so you can see how that goes. Then a project, etc. The key is to find a partner that shares the same interests and becomes your best friend. MR Wd and I are together constantly. We work together, fish together, camp together, volunteer together, ride four wheelers together, just about do everything. He does not get into the bottle digging or metal detecting, but I only hunt on our property and he has helped me several times.

Well the answer is maybe you've figured them out and maybe not.

Here's a real life example from my working years, one of the perks and pain's in the butt was that several times a year we had semi formal outings with customers and one of them was for Valentine's Day called ladies night at a high end hotel.

This would involve cocktails, 5 course meal with wine and entertainment and dancing. We'll my wife is agonizing over which dress to wear. Let's say one dress was blue and the other was red.

I looked at both dresses and suggested the red dress feeling rather smug. Her response was what's wrong with the blue dress.... If she didn't want to listen to my opinion then why in the heck did she bother asking.....

Women want to look the best they can for their man. The trick for me is how to ask the question. Not "Does this make me look fat? or Which one should I wear?" Get dressed and ask "How do I look or What do you think?" If I get a "Looks good" I'm cool with it. If he hesitates, I change.

That one is a tough one. What is she really asking...
Someone has pointed out that a woman for example tells her husband My friend snubbed me today.
A guy will present a solution. What the guy does not understand is the woman does not want a solution. She wants to talk about what happened and she wants the guy to listen. Not in a bad way like shut up This was presented by some sort of expert.
I need to run this idea about women as opposed to men by the resident woman.
A guy gets insulted or wronged and he tells his buddies I'm gonna kick his tail. Buddies say No don't do that. It's not worth it or that's what you oughta do.
They kick around solutions until there is some agreement. By then the anger is dissolved and beer is consumd lol.
I think women often talk with other women to decide how they should feel about a matter. They take a different route to a solution.
Men have a problem and their mind goes straight into solve it mode. Later they talk about it.
Not all women ask a lot of questions obviously.
How do you figure out which dress she wants to wear and affirm her opinion... I got to ponder this. There has to be a way out.
By the way did you notice differences in your female bosses versus males?

Again, Mr WD and I talk or bounce most things off of each other. There has been occasions where he has had to go to his friend for a guys perspective, and I to mine. But you kind of figured this one out. For the most part, if there is something bothering a woman she needs to talk about, get it out of her system. Men are conditioned to keep feelings bottled up and fix the situation. Again, we are just wired differently.

Just tell her how beautiful she is in what she is wearing.

So I went to the big creek tonight. I found an over abundance of mosquitoes! Er, they found me! I found a couple heart breaker pieces. one was a very deep green beautiful piece of pottery. The other was part of a bottle. It was embossed with Beuhler Beverage Comapny Seubenville, Oh. Beuhler bought the City Brewery in 1896 and closed in 1919. But I can't find anything with the name Beuhler Beverage Comapny. I'm thinking it might have been prior to the purchase of the City Brewery. Oh well, it's broke anyway. Tomorrow night we will be harvesting pawpaws.

After being married for a few years, I realized the logic in courtship. Both people really need to get to know the family of the other before making the commitment to each other. A person has shared characteristics, personality traits and genes. The older I get, the more I look like my Polish relatives, i.e hair loss and weight; and the more my nose grows like my Dad's big German honker! LOL! Poor Mr. WD! fortunately for him, I have more of my Dad's personality than my Mom's or else he would be banging his head as much as Simon does.
