You can always compromise and do like me. I take some good crusty sliced bread and chop up a good amount of garlic, parsley and use either olive oil or butter(your choice). Put it on thick on the bread. Pop in the oven for about 20 minutes or so it takes a bit of the edge off the garlic. The parsley helps at least a bit to mask the garlic. Even then the CPA would probably set on the other side of the room if you had some last night....
