I do more planning and organizing to "flee" from germany....
Oh, and I do nice frame work with original 1950s photos from my Bettie Page and signed Star Wars collection to sell them for good money!!
Tom,
We'll have to start calling you papillion....
Papillion is the French word for butterfly I believe.
The book is great reading.
By the way, I would weigh 300 pounds in no time if I had breads like that around!
We already have had a couple ladies come out. Then last year we came home to a post it note on our door. The guy left his name and number and my husband called him. They asked to have about 20 of them come to the cemetery this year. Now it is down to 10 due to life situations on their end. They will be coming next month. Originally we were told they are from , N. C., Mich., and Calif. We will document it when they get here. I think it is awesome. I plan on giving them the list of who is all buried there and a short background of the history of the farm. Also, there are bricks from the "house" (?) I am going to offer to them, should they want a momento. One day someone may be led to your cemetery in a search for their roots.
I was just asking the same questions the "Help ID WIldflowers" site was asking me. I still can't figure it out.I interrogate them like a detective.
You are hanging in the right thread then.I actually have a "bad" reputation in my family.
Honorable!Concord cemetery was once abandoned. I remember we went there when I was young and graves had fallen in, and stones were broken and fallen over.
To their credit some folks got together and cleaned it up.
I know that was probably stressful at he time for the family and friends. But, it does make for an interesting story to tell.Long ago one of my uncles was buried there, and there was an odd happening. On the long road the hearse stalled and they could not get it going again. Another vehicle was brought, body moved over. But once again the vehicle breaks down. They resorted to a horse and wagon to get my uncle to the cemetery. This story was told by my parents and other relatives.
