Man that was a scary movie.

Before the movie came out....

One summer I broke my ankle and was down for the count. The neighbor kid and his mom visited me and gave me the book as a gift. WAY WAY SCARIER! I was hooked on Stephen King books after that!

Then, the movie came out when I was 16/17. I went on a date and the guy took me to see the movie. Since I had read the book, the movie was pathetic, IMO. And I voiced my opinion. Needless to say, I didn't get a second date.

I read "IT" also before I saw the movie. I remember in the book it had a part where the kid was going down in the basement and was scared. That hit home real quick because I was always afraid to go in the basement anyways. The movie, I thought, was a very good rendition of the book.
