Pirate Treasure-Trying to get a permit to dig up

My friend Dan and I went to the church/school location this evening. I have been trying to contact them for three weeks with no messages returned. They said we could dig when school lets out. The pastor of the church had said that he needed to be present when we dug. We found out the school year was over 2 weeks ago and the pastor is now out of the country. I don't know yet when he will be back.

I wanted to see if the Nokta Golden King would give the same reading that it did a couple of months ago. We ran it over the spot. This is what it showed. View attachment 1004179 View attachment 1004180 This site is the only one where it has given a reading like this. We ran it in a grid pattern in the area and then went over the spot one more time. It gave a slightly different reading. View attachment 1004181 We ran a probe down on the spot and hit a very solid object. It is frustrating to be this close to a possible treasure but not be allowed to dig.

A new $20 fuel pump and the 57 Chevy 210 Handyman Wagon has now been brought back to life.

I would've dug it up and had not told anybody, not even on this site.... gotta know when to keep mum

Don't let some tool get to you. Keep doing what you're doing. Most of us enjoy reading about your attempts to find that elusive treasure.

Don't mess with that spot anymore until the pastor is there. Someone might see you keep zeroing into the same spot. Then they might dig it up"

You may want to jump back on the Rocky Bluff project. Looking again at your photo:

Or could it be a secret room?

It is right in front of my contact guys house on the church grounds. Trespass and steal from the church? I don't think so.

The Nokta says there is metal there and it has been right so far. Not sure if it will be gold. The GPR says there is an object there. My Garrett GTI 2500 says there is metal there. The probe hit something solid. I don't think it will be an empty hole. My contact guy has got the pastor to agree to allow us to dig without him being there. They are going to write up a new contract. I hope to dig sometime in the next week or so. Patience, perseverance, and honesty are what counts in the long run.

There is a redneck that drives a big 4 wheel drive truck that lives about 100 feet from the spot. He came home while we were probing/detecting the area. If he decided to dig on his own there is nothing I can do about it. I have not been back to the site since we did our detecting. Hopefully I won't be too late. I have found that 99% of people will not bother to dig for treasure even if you show them exactly where you think it is.

BDD,Please define "redneck".
Is that a decendent of early pioneers to Florida? There are many in Manatee county.
Is that a decendent that fought in the Seminole Wars or for Florida in the War of Northern Aggression?
Is a Florida cracker a redneck or just one that drives a BIG 4WD?
Some of us Floridians tire of the stereotypes.

Hard to say. When I looked in the mirror this morning I think I saw a redneck. An old grumpy looking redneck to be exact.

I can't speculate on BDD's definition of redneck but would like to know if I should feel honored or insulted. And I bet that he won't elaborate.

Is it the big 4 wheel drive truck that helped you form that opinion or do you know anything else about this redneck other than he wants to jump your claim?

V

sounds like you created a world of frustration for yourself

I do create a lot of problems for myself, but nothing I can't handle. I like a good challenge. I am a little frustrated that I have not dug up a real treasure yet but it will happen.

Cant somebody find some treasure for BigDog to dig?

I never said the redneck wanted to jump my claim, your jumping to conclusions. He looked like a redneck, drove a vehicle like a redneck would drive, so I referred to him as a redneck. I guess I should have said 'the nice young gentleman in the tall Ford pickup truck".

vor-My guess is that you are a little bit redneck but there is nothing negative about that.

Back to the subject at hand. vor has made a point on numerous threads to discount anything to do with dowsing, LRL's, remote sensing or anything else he doesn't understand. There have been dozens of people on TNET that have made fun of the dowsers and so forth. I want to make it very clear that not only do I believe in LRL's and dowsing but that I am also going to try to prove it can work by posting the results of our combined efforts. Whether you choose to dig in a certain spot because of research, metal detecting, LRL's, dowsing, luck, happenstance, an X-marked map or whatever, the bottom line is you have to dig. Most people do a lot more talking than digging.

The ONLY reason that I went to the EXACT spot at the church was because a TNET member used his own method on a Google Earth map and came up with not only an EXACT spot but the depth and what he thinks is buried at it. I will be digging this spot soon. I will be videoing it and taking pictures of the entire process. NOTHING will be faked or re-enacted. More than likely there will be nothing but junk in the hole but if I find treasure it will certainly open a can of worms for all the narrow-minded guys on TNET like vor and hundreds of others. I am certainly not afraid of being wrong on this and digging another empty hole.

If I find treasure it will be interesting to see what all the doubters have to say, if anything.

As usual I have ten things going on at once and one of them is a four day dog show at the Tampa fairgrounds today and throughout the weekend. I am getting commitments slowly wrapped up one by one. I will soon focus on the dig. If it is meant to be, it will be.

Ovid Arnold and the Duke of Pahokee, among many others, have shown BDD the EXACT spot to dig for treasure, and he has dug many holes to no avail.
How can that be?

Not only did the 'Duke of Pahokee" never show me a location, we never met. As far as the locations that Ovid led me to, I have only dug at a few of them and I usually did a piss poor job of it. Who knows, maybe there was nothing to be found or I just dug in the wrong spot or not deep enough. At least I have tried. The person I am now working with has nothing to do with my locations from the past. It has all been a learning process. I am willing to take a chance and will be digging more holes. ECS-So I have "dug many holes to no avail". What is your point? I was wrong? I wasted my time? I should give up? I should just research and research and research and research like you do, but never actually dig? You wanna bet on who finds the big one?

For the record our dog Jasper won Best of Show owner handled at the Tampa dog show today. My wife is ecstatic. He is now ranked the AKC number 1 owner handled English Mastiff in the country. There is more to my life than digging empty holes.
