Pirate Treasure-Trying to get a permit to dig up

I read another thread that was titled "find of a lifetime". I was curious as to what that would be. After looking at what was found I would consider it not much more than a piece of junk while everyone else on the thread acted like he had found the Holy Grail. We all have our own opinions as to what constitutes treasure. If I were to compare stuff that I have found to this other persons "find of a lifetime" than I guess you could say I have found lots of treasure at many sites.

I know and have worked with BDD. Yes, he HAS found lots treasure but he doesn't brag about it. He is looking for "the big one." He is pretty disgusted with all the negative remarks about his activities. I am looking forward to working with him on his next project.
I also met the producer/director for Treasure Quest Productions. I was really impressed with their work. They have done documentarys for Mel Fisher and Odyssey Marine. I know several Tnet members that will not post here because of all the negative comments.

No one is required to produce proof of anything if they don't wish to, if your a non believer that is your right but don't attack or belittle someone for not showing you the proof you want. ...

He doesnt brag? You must be joking? He admits himself that he is a bragger and a seeker of fame.

But I understand what you are saying and I wouldnt want anybody to feel bad and stop posting... even someone that likes to brag so much.

For what its worth I find BDD to be extremely intelligent and his posts are entertaining. I have decided to keep my opinions to myself on dowsing. But it sure would be nice to see someone bragging about their finds instead of everything else. Thats what the banner is for.

Even Duane said to me before he died that if he and BDD could find treasure maybe he could be on TV and be famous. I thought to myself, this was an odd reason to treasure hunt, but I didnt say anything. I thought Duane was a great guy but he really did say this to me. I dont know if he was serious or joking.

Duane did tell me about a real buried treasure in the swamp but sorry guys I will not share this, its too good and I will take this one (what Duane told me) to my grave.

I have rarely seen any mean spirited "banter" on this thread. All of us enjoy BDD's thread as evidenced by its popularity. And it is probably safe to say that all of us like BDD and think highly of his character.

But sometimes you need to put things into perspective. This last blow up was because the OP was given coords from someone across the country and then waived a Turkish boat anchor over it only to proclaim gold, silver AND diamonds.

I think that under the circumstances that the "banter" was pretty light. BDD likes the limelight, makes his proclamation and has to live with the results. Nothing personal, just the way it is.

Why would you watch the site for "over a year" and not join, it sounds like Treasure is your life.

Just pointing out his membership date is 2012-

Who would not be thrilled when B.D.D. scores? Heck it would be one for tenacity if he posted a big one. For now he's got a bigger challenge than critics and any amount of digging won,t heal him any faster.

Yea its pretty obvious that BDD is popular and we do think highly of his honesty and character. But if you are a huge bragger, you have to face the consequences.

Dont stop posting BDD. Keep testing all the different methods. I dont think anybody ever put dowsing and LRLs to the test like you do. If it makes you happy, keep digging.

Lets see some spider bite pics BDD. Has it got any better? You need to soak in the ocean. It worked for me.

Ive got some nasty pics if anyone is interested. It seems I caught American Hookworm in my foot when I was living in the swamp. I tried freezing and burning but it didnt work. I had to get my meds from India. Its a long story. All healed now.

I've heard that there are guys that can look at a map of the Everglades and just dowse it.

I dont know if I will try to look for it as it may be dangerous. I wish I could tell you but Im afraid this one is so real and believable that it would send a mob of treasure hunters to the swamp. I will keep it tucked away in the back of my mind. Duane was not the type of person to make up stories.

Those hookworms are nasty little creatures. They look like a miniature Moray Eel and they eat human tissue. Gross. Did I say I tried burning and freezing those little suckers? It didnt work. I was afraid to cut them out as I might cut too deep and allow them into my bloodstream where they would enter my lungs.

Much of the "mean spirited" banter on this thread have come from BDD and his friends whenever his posts are questioned.
If one make such strong proclamations,one should be strong enough to accept the replies when said proclamations do not prove to be valid.

Salvor and the new guy said they witnessed BDD finding "treasure". Now since we are all on the
cache hunting forum and mostly older hunters wouldn't it make sense to describe those finds?
BDD never claimed to find anything noteworthy in his numerous digs and here we learn he did?
What did he find from using LRLs/Dowsing equipment in particular.

if it is that good, you would be doing Duane a disservice to take it with you too the grave... I hope you preserve the knowledge...surely you have a trusted friend that you could leave instructions in the event that you are taken by a spider, gator, or Python...

Well he told me about several large treasures and it all made perfect sense but of course he didnt tell me the locations were they were buried.

If you read the news link or watched the video I posted, somewhere it said they found 30 guns in his car at the accident. I think it might be very dangerous to my health to go looking and Im not referring to Pythons. I shouldnt even be talking about this. The word is mum. I really know nothing.
