More info please, I see what appears to be a splinter coming off of your "specimen", can you dig into this object with a knife blade and remove more "splinters"?View attachment 2184392View attachment 2184393View attachment 2184394

It’s hard and yeah I’m able to remove some more splinterMore info please, I see what appears to be a splinter coming off of your "specimen", can you dig into this object with a knife blade and remove more "splinters"?
Is it hard like a rock or soft?
OK, If it is petrified wood, it would be wood that has over 1000s of years turned into rock, so if it's petrified wood it can chip with enough pressure but not splinter. It’s hard and yeah I’m able to remove some more splinter
Are telling me the petrification process cannot be interrupted? This site says it takes 5-10 thousand years to petrify. Maybe it was pushed out of the sea on a wave after only 2500 years.https://www.fossildesign.it/en/how-... the petrification, just 5,000 to 10,000 years.Nope, doesn't work that way.
Never said that couldn't happen...BUT any piece of wood that didn't fully petrify, the part that wasn't turned to stone would of rotted away centuries ago.Are telling me the petrification process cannot be interrupted?
