Finally! Actual facts!

It’s official. No one over the last 200+ years has ever presented anything that was even close to factual evidence as to something of significance ever existing on oak island.

Nothing is there but a hoax maintained to generate revenue from folks who don’t know any better.

All factual data proving oak island is a hoax has been presented....the results tabulated....and it’s been confirmed that oak island is a hoax....

The certainly is a complete lack of evidence to justify the belief that a significant amount of treasure was ever buried 100+ foot below the surface there... It is amazing the money wasted on looking for something that NO EVIDENCE of its existence has been found.

Even the recent season must of spent 'buckets of money' on their digging.. they told us just a delay was costing $25,000 per day on their digging operation. The total cost they have spent must now be in the millions...

It is stunning the lengths people will go to in order to find a "mythical" treasure...

Oak island is an amazing story in human nature....

That's for sure.

To be fair, the treasure hypothesis centered around pirates for a long time. And by long, I mean well over a century. They had a deathbed confession and everything.

I don't think that a pirate treasure is there (and pirates rarely buried treasure), but I wanted to point out that it was the original theory. That may or may not be important, depending on who is reading this.

Yep.. If any treasure ever did exist on OI pirate/privateer/criminal seems the most likely... Still there was no way they buried it at 100+ foot. If the original 3 guys did find the 3 chests the descendants claim was found these were buried at about 10 foot.

It is so difficult to see how the belief of treasure at over 170+foot ever gained general acceptance...

Nonsense like that is what has gotten six dead on Oak Island. Unless Oak Island is sitting on solid rock and does not appear to be so, then digging in dirt and sand can only bring in water after you pass forty feet or so. What is the elevation of Oak Island about twenty seven feet, I would guess?

There is NO factual data that shows the whole thing is a hoax. Can't be, it's almost impossible to do. The only thing you have going for you on that theory is there are no pictures of it..( and the first known picture was taken in 1826 in France. and no it was not of any treasure ) If Samuel Ball found a chest of gold coins as his family and others believe, this whole thing was true and was over almost before it got going good.. I can't prove he did find it, but I know you can't prove he didn't....

Sorry which bit is nonsense? And how has that killed six people?

I was agreeing with you. It makes no sense to dig 170 feet on an Island when the water table is 27 feet.

Every good treasure tale has somebody once finding treasure, these same treasure tales never having any proof that any of those treasure finds ever happened. A good treasure yarn is any easy sell. Heck, even ridiculous ones sell well. If people want to believe in a treasure tale, despite the contrary, they will, they do, and they will continue to do so.

Your right scoop !
I do love a good "Story" but i don`t waste money chasing them.

One only has to watch the show or read any documents about what has been done on the island to know that the hoax has been perpetuated by many men and companies for the last 200 years. For anyone it’s not obvious to, I have some Lincoln pennies for sale that are reported to have flown aboard an alien ship on three round trips to Alpha Centauri. The can be had for $1,000,000 each....

I think we all like to believe in a treasure tale and hope to go find it. Heck, thats why I detect and watch this darn show.
Do I believe in the OI story? Not really but I can believe that the 3 men did find something and Sam as well as they all seemed to do pretty good for themselves after being on OI. The Family special pointed out their success.
Is something still there? NO
Was anything ever buried down past 10 - 20 feet? NO
Is all the wonders of the world that are missing in the Chappel Vault at 170'? YES!!! :laughing7: :tongue3: :icon_scratch:
Can I get 2 of those special pennies from SW? Yes!!

You can believe what you want and I can't disprove it, same as you can't disprove that Samuel Ball found it. and just because you say it is proven to be a hoax doesn't make it true. Where is your proof? and explain to me how your going to prove it didn't happen. Got to be more then just no one has come forward with pictures..

Be kinda like trying to prove that Henry Ford developed the assembly line. ( that is actually in depute ) Sure we have always heard that, there are even pictures of them using it but how can you prove he was the first at this point.. Can't be done...

As with the BEALE PAPERS, the total lack of outside collaborating evidence is proof that claimed events did not occur.

Treasure stories hold the blind power of faith. If folks want to believe they will believe regardless of the contrary evidences and facts before them. They will always find other evidences, circumstantial or completely imaginary, to place that blind faith in. Always been that way and it will always be that way. They don't require or need or rely or facts, that just operate on that blind faith.
