The KING say's "I Quit"

speaks volumes.

I'm not trying to pick a fight, but didn't that brave, honorable marine and his friend get shot to death at a gun range?

Yeah, but I think you miss the point.

The point is to go "Arf arf..lol"....and not spoil things by getting realistic! (You stole what i was going to say about this too lol)

One marine killed the other then committed suicide, he was not storming or trying to commit mass murder. I would think the difference is obvious.

When there are armed citizens around the average death in mass murder is 3 when citizens are not armed and police have to be relied on I believe the number is about 22.

As i say to you all the time TH...it's all well and good IF you/they know it's coming!

I can easily envisage a scenario of 20 NRA members at the range...they have guns...they're shooting at the targets....i'm 20ft behind them with my little AR-15 with 30 round mag. Would my bangs be any different than their bangs? When 1 guy goes down backshot in his little booth would the next guy realise? How many could i pop before someone happened to turn around? How long before he realised why i was standing there and what i'd done? Did he turn around only because he was out of ammo?......BANG!....and move on!

Never say "never" mate. ;)

The point was not about a murder suicide, it was about a mass shooting.

Dano....head to a range someday and you'll realize exactly why your "scenario" is flawed. If you think nobody will notice a shot coming from BEHIND them you have never shot at, or even been to, a gun range.

Dano fact is when a near by civilian has a gun average death on mass murder is 3, you can try to put your personal spin on it how ever you want but that is fact....

People aren't as 'stupid' as you think they are, those that are aware of their environment will make it,can't say that much for you though,oh well, tried to warn you.

Try standing in FRONT of a gun when its fired and tell me the experience is the same as when you stand beside or behind it. And I'm not even suggesting it has to be aimed anywhere near you! :laughing7:

My point is that murder can happen anywhere. Let us all pray this theoretical situation never gets tested. Of course, what would the NRA response be then? "Put armed guards in front of all shooting ranges?"

Never seen those videos of Americans having all those gun "mishaps"? Think you'll find there's a hell of a lot of stupid knocking around. Wonder how many of them were NRA members?

Pick me 20...any 20? :)

No, they would suggest its safer for the law abiding NRA members to be unarmed so the criminal wouldn't be harmed, and could take his time while killing them. Wait...perhaps that's the more liberal "I'm a victim" position.

Ummm, that did not make a whole lot of sense. Can you rephrase it in a more logical counterpoint? Otherwise, it will be difficult for me to continue what had previously been an intelligent conversation.

Thank you for suggesting I'm not intelligent enough for this conversation. Appreciate it.

You brought up the nonsensical "...would the NRA response be then? "Put armed guards in front of all shooting ranges?"

I mocked your ridiculous post by suggesting that the NRA response would be to fix the problem by disarming the NRA members at the range so the criminal/shooter wouldn't be harmed, and so the shooter could take his time killing the innocent people. I then stated that I was mistaken, and this was actually the how liberal "victims" advocate dealing with mass shooters.

Does that work, or am I still too stupid to warrant your time?

I was referring to the "previously intelligent conversation." Since I was having the conversation with you...that would by default, mean I was referring to you as intelligent. It is all in the sentence structure. My response to the NRA was not nonsensical, that was the exact thing they advised for schools. Why would it be nonsensical for them to suggest the same for their own shooting ranges?

I'm a liberal and I am opposed to further restrictions on the second amendment at this time. So you made a global, gerneralization that I defy the essence of. If I didn't consider you intelligent I never would have responded to begin with.

Crispin

Ps. Don't fake the funk on a nasty dunk. ;)

Oh, I didn't realize I said you were a liberal "victim".
