My first camera, which I found in the back yard of an abandoned house in 1957 or 58. The film winder knob and shutter mechanism were seized, but the body and lens looked ok so I took it home. Cleaned her up, freed the winder and shutter plate and wound a new shutter spring from a piece of piano wire or guitar string that my old man brought home from work. Still have a few photos I shot with that thing .
Current camera is a Fuji Finepix 16mp.
Picked it up from the Walmart at US 60 and Signal Butte....the only place open at 5am, the morning after my Kodak Z1275 jammed up on me out in the mountains. I didn't have much choice, since out of the few staff on hand, no-one knew where the keys to the camera display case were. But the Fuji had been left out for some reason and also had a sale tag on it. Takes good pictures.....except when I'm surrounded by brush or tree limbs. Only seems to have trouble focusing then....and in that one area as well. Should have kept that old Target six-16 I guess.....:).

The "Book of Numbers" is the 4th book of the Hebrew Bible, , and the fourth of five books of the Jewish Torah.
Among other things the number seven commemorates the re-consecration of the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem.
The most important place within the temple was the "Holy of Holies".
Which was built in order to house a gold covered box containing two slabs of stone.
Kinda makes you think......don't it ????

Mikey did this photoshop a while back.......I know he won't mind me using it here.....

The answer to Moses's question of course, would have been.......to the "Cursum Perficio".

He won't even carry around a simple smartphone. Not even the flip type. Good luck!! HAHAHAHAHA

I, on the other hand, have a camera that does 25 megapixels.

Flip phone....like this ?
Had one since '96.
Free with a 2yr contract at $19.95/Mo....100 free minutes/Mo. as I recall.
Used it for about 20 minutes total during the contract......drop outs or no signal problems mostly. Couldn't use it in the States at all.
But with the cost of land lines getting closer, data plans and near complete coverage available now.....maybe after I retire.
A better camera and a drone too. Both will have to be light weight and compact for packing. Already have an Android tablet for the drone visuals.

I've looked, because " 7 ".....
No connection I can work with though.

So there are lots of reasons why it could not be feet, please give some of them. I do not think it can be feet. confirm for me the reasons 1847 could not be feet? Allan said because there is nothing of significance at 1847 feet.

Wayne, there is a slab rock up there that is sorta heart-shaped, but it is partially covered with rubble at the edges and can not tell if the rubble was removed the exact shape. It appears to be natural and I have kinda dismissed it, but it is a slab rock, I am guessing about 4 to 5 feet in size, but it is interesting. Most people I have shown it to do not think it is a heart, but you have to picture it with the rubble removed. I may show it in the next post it will not give away our location then you can tell me what you think? On the PS there are 2 hearts. In your opinion what is the significance of the smaller heart under the Priests arm? Why do feel or know that the heart is a slab rock? Also, do you feel Hohokam split into two groups?

PS......heart with the 4 could mean four heart stones in total.
The larger lightly scratched heart on the PS shows where #3 of the four can be found.
The number 4 on the lower TS ......... probably where the fourth is.

I believe it's a slab.....because I've been close enough to see it, and it looks like a slab in the shape of a heart.
And it's a darker reddish color, different than the grey volcanic tuffa all around it..... same as the cap over the covered hole up above.
That cap happens to be the same shape as my stone with the hole in it and chevron carving that I posted earlier..
It also has a crack across the left lobe, same as the red stone heart.

The four is a direction sign

If the Jesuits, Franciscans, Spanish, German, other Europeans made them, they would have used either Varas or Meters (1800's).
Is your target 1847 meters(6059ft) or 1847 Spanish/Mexican varas (5078 ft.) above either sea level, or the surrounding terrain ?

Have to agree with Mick on this point, what is wrong with the obvious conclusion, that 1847 is a date? It was the time of the Mexican war after all, and Mexicans did not know where the new boundary might be drawn, nor if their property rights would be honored. By property rights I am referring to land, mining claims, livestock etc. In California a number of wealthy Mexicans made a point to hide their treasures when California fell to the Americans, in the fear that the wealth, property, mines etc would be seized by the Americans. So why not just follow Occam's Razor, the simplest solution is usually correct, that the number 1847 would be perfectly logical as a DATE.

The Symbols read as a group, not each alone, There based on a sentence as if telling someone something.
The numbers are based on a very specific action you need to take. As 4 is to direction or 7 is to rest, There’s a important reason you must stop.

maybe we can all pitch in at the rendezvous and get wayne a civilized camera:occasion14:

Great idea.....I'd go along with that.:)
Might even toss a couple of bucks in myself......

Can’t be a date, does the 10 stand for October?
the war started on 25 April 1846 and ended on 2 February 1848

Simple they didn’t wait around to find out thier fate, as no one would.

The 10 has nothing to do with the date

They probably didn’t even know anything about the war, Kearny moved quickly through the territory along the Gila
any miner in the mountains would not have known exactly what was happening, they did not have flash news back then
