New Site Old Finds Old Silver!

got a chance to start detecting a new site from the 1750's.beautiful colonial house that's been empty for a couple of years.started in front of the house and within 10 minutes i found the 1841 half dime so things look promising.not even 5 minutes later i got a strong quarter signal and up come the 1792 reales which really got me excited.went over near a large old tree and near the base another strong quarter signal.shoot, only a 1875 seated quarter.just kidding!i then ended up around the back of the house where i found the rest of the coins.the new jersey copper was found first in the back.look at the mistruck plus it was holed.still a strange looking copper.maybe a counterfeit?in the back is where i started to find the bar metals that looked to be colonial,maybe revolutionary.here in salem co.the local militia fought against the british.i really like the brooch that has the scene of a fence with windmill and treesthe last coin i found was the pristeen,did i spell it right.was one of the best days of metal detecting i ever had.enjoy the pics.
