got a chance to start detecting a new site from the 1750's.beautiful colonial house that's been empty for a couple of years.started in front of the house and within 10 minutes i found the 1841 half dime so things look promising.not even 5 minutes later i got a strong quarter signal and up come the 1792 reales which really got me excited.went over near a large old tree and near the base another strong quarter signal.shoot, only a 1875 seated quarter.just kidding!i then ended up around the back of the house where i found the rest of the coins.the new jersey copper was found first in the back.look at the mistruck plus it was holed.still a strange looking copper.maybe a counterfeit?in the back is where i started to find the bar metals that looked to be colonial, maybe revolutionary.here in salem co.the local militia fought against the british.i really like the brooch that has the scene of a fence with windmill and treesthe last coin i found was the pristeen, did i spell it right.was one of the best days of metal detecting i ever had.enjoy the pics.

Man, that's finding 10 years of goodies in one hunt! Now go back and work the whole place again, real slow. You know that you didn't get it all.

looks like you found an awesome spot! I would pound that spot to death if I were you! Theres bound to be more silver there!!! :)

PM:

I know you haven't been posting here all that long, but you have already blown me away with your finds.

Keep it up!!!

Pretty incredible coin finds there. Your pistareen is likely your oldest coin of the bunch. That alone is a Sweet coin find.

Bravo!

I agree.

Without a doubt a super day, you even broke the odds by finding more silver than copper at a site in NJ. I will look more closely at the NJ later, but most likely it is legit, just struck off center. What is the coin/token with the initials on it?

Your best find IS the broach/pin whatever it is, get that cleaned up carefully and show the detail more, that is really a special find in my opinion.

You've got to be kidding! What an incredible outing. Go back and work that site very slowly and show us if you find more. Banner Day!

Just finding one of those coins would have me pumped.
Congrat.'s on the truly awesome day out hunting
