new show on the dutchman

Jeff, please correct me if I'm wrong. Wayne Tuttle is AKA Somehiker

I don't know :dontknow: Hopefully someone who does will tone in.

But I'd say it appears he is

So it seems Homar. But seeing the episodes a week after everyone else will be like going to a movie after reading the reviews.
Overnight, I've already received a number of screenshots and e-mails about the first installment, so It will be interesting to see what those on here have to say as well.

Regards:Wayne

Wayne Tuttle is not Somehiker - same first name, but somehiker lives in Canada and isn't as good looking :P

I think at one time Wayne Tuttle might have been a member here but not certain - I know if he was he hasn't posted here in many years although he was a frequent poster on a couple other "dutchman" sites. His friend Randy IS a member here (djui5), but Randy is not on the show - I do know Wayne and Randy have done many hikes and explorations out there though. I've had the pleasure of meeting Wayne and getting to know him - he has an extensive knowledge of the mountains and legends and has access to people, places and things that many dutch hunters do not. And best of all he's a super nice guy and so is Frank.

Well that would explain the small canadian flag in the small cave east of the ladder going up the wall. You know the ladder that still had the homedepot stickers on it. I just dont understand why it took em 5 weeks to find that when it is only a 10 minute walk when they step outta the vehicle????? My hats off to them if they went up that ladder. I looked at it and said no f'ing way. But nice find i guess.

You misread my post - Wayne Tuttle who is on the History Channel show is NOT Somehiker nor is he Canadian - Somehiker is another fellow with the first name Wayne who hikes and explores in the Superstitions and he IS from Canada.

You can watch this on the net for free if you want. I just did. Not sure if I can link you up here or even tell you how to find it. Send a PM if you want. Unless the mods give me the OK. Mods?

Yes it would. And you might just find those little paper flags at or in a number of other places I've been, at least the ones that the pack rats didn't take home with them. Left that flag about two and a half years ago, about the same time I posted a bunch of photos of both caves, the ladder, and a few other things. Most of that should still be available on T-Net or the other sites. I was later warned to stay away from there....that it was only mined for bat guano.... and also informed by one of those in the show that the Bat Cave had been declared off limits by the Tonto FS. An exception must have been made for the show I guess.

Both Frank and Wayne Tuttle are friends, and Frank has done a bit of exploring and T-Hunting with me out there.
Other members as well.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Go to hulu.com and search the title. It links you to history.com and that plays just fine. Some times you get commercials included some times not. I tried it direct from history when it was airing but it then needed me to give a cable provider which I do not have. I can go back and get the link at history if something doesn't work for you.

Play it full screen and you can screen cap what you like, such as that map. Once you screen cap the GE image they show with a map over lay you have any coordinates you like by using GE :D

Very entertaining program and I wish them luck in whatever they are doing. Hopefully everyone will appreciate the pretty good acting, the scenery, the hostility of the area and the effort put into this production. If you don't like it or wish to complain, remember, we could get Ric Savage and American Diggers back. Just sit back and enjoy. And for those out there who have never been in those mountains, well, carry lots of water and a warm blanket cause you're gonna need them. Takes a special man to survive that terrain. I almost didn't...

I must have been there just after ya left it cause it was fairly new. Ileft it where it sat. That guano does make some good fertilizer though.
As for being off limits, i didnt see any signs.its part of tonto and i pay my taxes so i dont see what they would have a problem with. Maybe off limits as far as climbing that ladder? If it was screwed together instead of nailed i might have went up and checked it out. But more than likely not.

I just want to see where they found that iron cross that was flashed across the screen in the end. Thats what i am after. Ldm pfft. Pennies in the drawer.
