I am not sure why everyone has treated you so badly Ed. Maybe it was the foot in mouth comment. If Jeff of Pa gets wind of this, he will straighten it out real quick. We usually try to welcome new members.
are you for real :laughing9:
Absolutely. I try to give new members the benefit of the doubt in case of a misunderstanding and I believe Jeff would too. Right now Im just as confused as Monty.
I got a PM from him, no benefit needed.

I'm sure Jeff has common sense.

My scam-meter (sniff test) went aray right off the bat...this is the 2nd post, both of which the title and content has changed numerous times...

Now I will be making a post entitled "Need Help Verifying Bottle Opener With Adolph Coors Name and Dated 1873". A postage stamp-size picture of a fuzzy brown beer bottle will accompany the post. (honest, it was fuzzy last night)

You can bet your sweet bippy that all responses will be answered

You know, I just wasted another 30 minutes of my life going backwards on this thread. Although it is very humorous, and LAMO, I just became aware that the first post says it was found in a cyn explored by Francis Drake (excuse my correct spelling). Sometime before this on an edited post, and/or after this, it became Hernan Cortes. I missed the transition somewhere. Even though I put a comment in about the Golden Hine, I thought this was about a sword/knife/letter opener of Hernan Cortes signed and dated 1543 and/or 1534. I am so confused again. I am going to take two aspirins and go to the even funnier thread that is totally made up about Sheman Cortez...............or is it made up????

These are artifacts found in Arizona. Although to me yours also resembles a survey marker. Good Luck. Let us know if you identify this item. M :icon_pirat:
