Last group hunt / oct 12***BIG UPDATE***

First of all thank you for the invite Bomber.

I will be bringing some of my "Durham BBQ Bacon Baked Beans".

I never have to clean the pan, because it is always all gone before I go home. Maybe I may have to more than double the receipe with this big of a crowd.

I look forward to meeting and seeing you all there.

This hunt sounds like it's going to be awesome!!! Maybe I'll score my first silver. Like Rootmaster said, I'm coming up from the St. Louis area for this event. I just moved back to IL. from FL. just in time I guess. Rootmaster is my brother and Lightfire56 is my father so we'll be showing up together. And a big thanks to everyone who is donating prizes, that is very cool  Also let us know if we should bring any items for the cook out, we would be happy to do so. See you all there ;D

could use some charcoal, maybe some bottled water,i'm sure by the end of the week we'll have everything ready

Wasabi,

Are you the one with the metal detecting videos on YouTube? If so, nice scores, I always enjoyed watching you dig those old relics, especially liked the old badge. Keep those up!

Joe (from TreasureFiend's videos...lol)

I saw those videos too! It's a small world I guess. It'll be good to meet you Wasabi, and everyone else for that matter.

I agree with Twistidd, keep makin' those videos because the next best thing to metal detecting yourself is watching someone else do it ;)

talked to the bro-in-law(cop)hes not working that day and said they've got a couple of rookies working the woods, says he'll try to talk to them about us but if he doesn't,there a small chance they might be asses about not having a permit(probably not tho)so heres what we do just in case, when we come back for lunch, just put your toys back in the car, that way its not an "event"just a group of people having a picnic, don't need a permit for that.Treasurefiend and Twistidd will be acting as "guides"for the hunt for those of you who want to hit the best spots.Goio and i will be manning the grills, also the Fiend will be working double duty as guide and vid/pic boy........not much digging for us on sunday.we'll put names in a hat as far as prizes,no best prize or worst prize, everybody gets a equal shot and walks away with something..........thanks guys

Yeah, the TF coilcam rocks! Hopefully he can get some good pics of solid returns. Hey Bomber I'll be free as soon as I find a wheatie, a buff and a bolo so let me know where you need things done.

crap lowbatts, looks like you'll be the first one back then if thats all you need ::)

ok,i gotta ask again, does anybody has an xtra md they could bring(actually i need 2)couple of guys at my work are interested in going, but arn't 100% sure yet,so i gotta ask.shoot me a pm if anybody does ...thanks

The CZ-7 workhorse is now dead, using my CZ-20. Can bring my old 1235X, very simple operation but not too good for dirt work in that environment.

predicting 78 degrees for sunday, the gods of metal detecting have smiled down upon us. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

I just realized how many replies this post has... OMG! :tard: :tard:

Here's to hoping we all walk away with at least one silver! cheers.jpg Cheers!

yup scounger, thats just how it started, then there"coppa"instead of copper :P.they seem like a good bunch of guys, crap i'd luv to go out with'um,they do great digs.i just don't like the baby talk,i don't even like when a chick does it,but to each, his own...................and u bet we're grillin'

Rich,
I can understand the "coppa", even though it is grammatically incorrect, because that's the way those dudes talk. However, the *gulp* wilver crap started off as a typo and has spread like the virus here. I hate that. That baby talk needs to go. Someone put this baby talk to bed!

I'm going to call this hobby metal deshmeckting because it's cute, you guys don't have a problem with that, do you??? :merror:
