Rich,
I can understand the "coppa", even though it is grammatically incorrect, because that's the way those dudes talk. However, the *gulp* wilver crap started off as a typo and has spread like the virus here. I hate that. That baby talk needs to go. Someone put this baby talk to bed!

I'm going to call this hobby metal deshmeckting because it's cute, you guys don't have a problem with that, do you??? :merror:

Joe

dang it!! I may need to start growing up :( I was doing so good finding wilvers, and almost at my 150 wilver mark!! :tongue3: I might as well stop metal deshmeckting !!

LOL - you tell'um!!! Wilver wilver wilver... ;D

"coppa" is just fine for me, but I would only be referencing those ubiquitous watch faces strewn throughout Elgin. Wilver on the other hand makes no sense. You could call a war nickel a wickel, a buf a bickel, a V a vickel, a shield a shickel, mems become mennies, wheaties are whennies, injuns are innies, LC's are lennies,
rosies are rimes, mercs are mimes, barbers are bimes, seateds are simes and la la la la la la la.

Lexicon goes to who finds it, if they can't describe in commonly understood terms then they better include a picture. Since I don't know how to read anyway I prefer pictures.

As a matter of fact I did find a couple mennies, whennies and mimes yesterday, I have no pics but you know what I'm talking about Batty!!! :D

tables are still there,no need for everybody to haul tables with'um,maybe one or two just in case they get busy on sat removing them, but i doubt that would happen.before we head out we'll go grab 3 or 4

DONT FORGET ZINCOLNS for ZINC LINCOLNS

Hey, does anybody have an extra set of headphones, ones with adjustable volume?
I totally forgot, my set for my Ace is broken. If nobody has a spare set, whoever is
borrowing my detector will just have to do without. :tongue3:

I'll get there as early as I can, really depends on when the FP guy opens the roped gate. Usually no later than 7:30. Rich, if you want to meet up earlier, I'll help set things up. If tomorrow is as nice as today is, this occasion will be perfect.

I stopped at an estate sale of a recently-deceased man in his 90's. His home is near mine, in an historic district. I picked up a vintage Boy Scouts of America backback with canteen (fits a small boy) for the raffle. I couldn't resist, plus, it is quite fitting, considering this is a BS camp we're meeting at. Looking forward to tomorrow!

I can't wait!!! I am stuck at work, I just started my 12hr shift for Sat night, when I get off of work I will head right over, I will be there like 7:30am.

Just so everybody knows, we park in the first section of parking spots just off of Devon. There is more parking deeper in the place but you would have to walk further.

Sweet!!! Looks like everybody will get a door prize!!!

Prizes range from a detector to coins to Boy Scout gear and everything else in between!!! :icon_pirat:

I am bringing GOIO,and TMANfromTexas.......Some Matchlite charcole for the grillers,a dozen bottled waters, and a nice New (Off E-Bay)Long handled probe for the Grab Bag...............................Watch out for Poison Ivy/& Oak (can stay on your protected clothing for up to a year) Probably need skeeter repelant 2....I am bringing Mine.....See Ya'll there ;D

I wont be able to attend this outing as I have been called away to handle some business. I know this wont be the last time I'll be out this year. I will hopefully be able to meet up with some of you guys another time.

Thanks for coming out. I have gotten a lot of use out of my Minelab Digger already and it works great. It is much better than the $3 walmart garden digger I was using. This digger cuts roots and pulls the coins twice as fast. The best part is I do not worry about breaking it like I did with the cheapo I had. When I upgrade to a better machine it will definitely be from Windy City Detectors.
