Kevin in Colorado...and elsewhere

Another glorious “and elsewhere” day today as I got out digging with Utah Mason in American Fork Canyon. Good gold and a fun way to deliver his Grizzly Goldtrap! ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1512447845.200140.jpg
Art shot :P

Looks a bit chilly there fellas! How'd you all do?

I've heard that cold gold is the best gold.

From the American Fork Canyon outing. 3 pieces of +50 and a lot of tiny stuff. I think it’s my best AF results yet :)

Thanks again Utah Mason, sweet spot! Enjoy your new sluice :D

Nice!
Pretty good clean up for that low in the canyon.
I'm going to clean my cons up tomorrow. Hopefully it looks pretty similar. Looking forward to seeing you next year, and checking out those spots we talked about.

Hey Fellas, that sure looks like fun! Did you happen to have a campfire off to one side? Simple warm food & warm drink on an outing like that seems like it would be a natural. I've not been out in the snow in quite some time but I like doing it as long as I can stay warm!................63bkpkr

We had beers and a little propane heater thanks to UM, very nice!

Kevin In Colorado, Congrat's on getting out for some gold panning from a Kevin in Georgia (devldog). I am a relic hunter here and we have to do a lot of our hunting in the winter months due to the heat of our summers which can be unbearable coupled with our high humidity.

This is part of the crew that showed up yesterday at Arapahoe Bar Prospecting Park in metro Denver for a creek and park cleanup day. We gathered a whole pickup truck load of trash, had a grilled hot dog lunch and spent the afternoon digging :)

Got out again Monday. Good chance to test the Snake River Products prototype “Titan” sluice:

Worked well. Even entirely under waster! Looking forward to seeing how my ideas for tweaks work out in the production version!

Interestingly we found similar good gold on both sides of the river at this spot.

Got out to sample a site as part of my book research. Came up empty which is happily rare. It’s a county park but never mind lol!

Also visited a cool hard rock mine which is just opening for tours. 17 veins!! It’ll be in the book :)

Gidday KinC happy new year and good to see you're still digging - although I reckon you are pretty keen working iced water ... looking at 40 deg C ( 105 F) in my neck of the woods today ... heavy pans.

That's a rarity for you to come up with no color Kevin! Like the mine addition to the book.

I was glad I hadn’t talked you into going with me! (I just hit the one site while I was in the area to do the mine tour)

Made up for yesterday by going back to a recently discovered hot spot today :) I think the picker redeemed me LOL!

Went out sampling yesterday while my wife had her haircut. Found a spot to go back to next time :) “hey honey, do you need a haircut?” lol [emoji23]

Got into the South Platte River in central Denver last Wednesday. Panned and did a sample run with the sluice. A great spot to go digging if you work in downtown denver and the freeways are jammed up after work! This will definitely make it into the book :)

Got out dredging with my friend Nick today. We had to take turns on the nozzle frequently..so cold! Fun times tho :) #januarydredgers

PS photo taken very carefully to prevent location identification as this is a public spot that isn’t well known and pays well 🤫
