Its End Game

The absolutely HUGE problem with all of this other Beale/Beall "suspected" stuff, once again, arrives with the settling and contesting of the Beale estate, something that clearly could not have transpired if this well known Captain Thomas J. Beale/Beall was still alive and well. This has always been and will always remain as the downfall of this most improbable manufactured connection, this and "the fact" that they were two different individuals.

If I did not know better I would say you guy do not want to find the Thomas J Beale you have been looking for all this time, yes some of you guy's will look like a :munky2: but with all the new evidence that will be coming to light there will be no stopping that .

YOU are OBSESSED with BEALE, BEALL, BEAL, et. al.; why...? MOST of us are BEYOND all that...

There was letters from Captain Thomas J Beale Sr to his wife and the fact that she was in St Louis during some of that time may bring new light this .

What letters after May 9th, 1822 from Thomas J. Beale Sr. to his wife living in St. Louis? No such letters.

The Thomas J. Beale of the Job Print Pamphlet did come to the Peaks Presbyterian Church for a wedding in 1826 as he was best man for an associate that was shot in the first expedition by James Pursley (Purcell) The church still stands.

Documentation has been found stating that Thomas Beale Jr had died in 1820 and his probate was not until 1823 . At the time there was a backlog of probate cases, Yellow Fever Outbreak of the time was possible .

No, the simple difference that you are missing is that some of us would love to find him without having to manufacture him, as you are engaged in now. :icon_thumleft:

Step back fellas, take a breath and evaluate this fascination with the title of "Captain" that is completely unfounded by the original source material. Even as he is recalling the man and describing him in detail Morriss never makes reference to anything other then Mr. Beale, or, Thomas Beale, the alleged letters only being signed, TJB. The only time we encounter the title of "captain" is when Beale is detailing how he gained that elected title by the popular vote of the members in his civilian hunting party. So why all of this unfounded fascination with the title of "Captain" when, according to the original source, there was no such title beyond a civilian election at the advise of their guide?

From just this one reference of a civilian election Thomas Beale has been romanced into a "Captain Thomas J. Beale/Beall Sr." of famous and legendary proportions. Add to this that Morriss even identifies the "place by where they lived" as being near Richmond and not anywhere near New Orleans, even speculates that Beale was from some western portion of the state. So no official title of Captain, no New Orleans, no Beall, and yet today we have all manner of manufactured solution to elements that were never said or even hinted to exist.

If you have Thomas Beale Jr dead in Sep 1820 that would explain the 1823 probate for Thomas Beale Jr. One death one probate.
If the Beale Party was lost in 1823-24 and presumed dead that would be a possibility of what is going on with :icon_thumleft: Captain Thomas J Beale Sr :icon_thumright:

So if he ( Captain Thomas J Beale Sr ) was lost at that time with no word from him, I can see how they thought him dead at the time of 1823 . He must have made arrangements to meet somewhere at a given time or send a letter by a certain date . He would have known of Thomas Jr's death as he speak of .

I noticed that now both you and Crypto are using the "IF" word.
Having doubts concerning your findings?

Captain Thomas J. Beale's obituary was in the newspaper September, 1820. How do you say he disappeared and everyone thought him dead? You are truly lost.

I went to New Orleans and found the newspaper story there and it said Thos Beale that's all !
Now we know that it was Thos Beale Jr that died on that date .
