hey guys i was just wondering hot old everyone is because i am just getting into TH and i have found that a lot of people are older. Which is cool because of the experience but i was wondering why there is not very many younger people like me. I am 20 years old. just thought it would be interesting!

Absolutely ancient. 61, I think. Never thought I'd make it this far. God must have something left for me to do. - Noodle

I'm 25 will be 26 in july. Started out with my uncles old whites don't member the model i could barely lift it! it was blue an i think my parents only let me keep using it cause they loved me! sure did dig up there lawn alot! then when i was twelve they bought me a whites classic three plus an my dad an have been hooked ever since! now we use a dfx an a mxt both are excellent machines! oh yeah dad is 68 an has a a new knee an still finds more than me!

67, first was one i made, next was a heathkit, then a whites, sold it and a brand new compass 77b, still have it plus all in my profile, does that tell you how long i have at least owned a detector even if i didnt use them much for several years......

Hey when you are that old you can say and do alot more stuff and get away with it ! They just chalk it up to age! :tongue3:

I'll be 70 in July.

28, detecting for 6 years off and on. Still using the first machine i ever owned, my BH sharpshooter II. I know what you mean about constantly digging junk, foil, and clad at best. I got in the VERY BAD habit of only digging promising signals (high tones), and after reading this forum and others, i changed back to digging all repeatable targets. After making this change, on about my 3rd low tone, i unearthed an 1867 Shield Nickel two days ago. My oldest and best find to date. I'm glad i switched back, but i feel SICK thinking about those recent low repeatable tones i have heard, and the choice i made to walk on by. DIG THEM ALL!!
